Purpose

The Manager IFE content and Publications collaborates closely with the Manager IFE department to oversee the daily operations of IFE content, including the Atlas magazine, across the EY network. The role involves assisting in content and magazine development, production, and distribution to maintain high standards of quality and consistency. Additionally, the role supports Manager IFE operations in the day-to-day management of onboard content and delivery.

Responsibilities

IFE Content and Publications

• Work closely with the Manager IFE Content and Head of IFEC & Aircraft Interiors to supervise the development, production, and distribution of the airline magazine, Atlas, and onboard content for IFE, including E-BOX.
• Assist in designing and implementing content promotional strategies for the onboard magazine.
• Manage Atlas advertising inventory to meet annual revenue budget targets.
• Refine and execute operational, content, and editorial vision and strategy for IFE, publications, and the Atlas magazine to ensure timely turnarounds and showcase the Etihad brand through IFE and Atlas offerings.
• Manage IFE and Atlas magazine vendors, collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to curate engaging and informative content for EY Guests across all cabins.
• Conduct thorough proofreading, editing, and feedback provision to enhance quality and consistency that align with the EY brand standards.
• Provide benchmarking, data analysis, and insights on IFE topics.

IFE Operations

• Support IFE-related operations to ensure services adhere to agreed service level agreements, addressing issues or areas of underperformance effectively.
• Provide operational and logistical support, including headset supply, refurbishment, repairs, content updates, and loading of IFE guides.
• Collaborate with Technical Maintenance and Training departments to optimize IFE performance.
• Aid the Manager IFE Operations in creating training documentation with EY Training to ensure the crew receives effective training on various IFEC platforms, products, and services.

Education & Experience

• Hold a university degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the In-flight Entertainment field, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in cross-cultural environments and TV/audio broadcast programming is advantageous.
• Skills in budget management, negotiation, and influencing are advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English are mandatory.
