    Job Description


    • To havea very strong visual and creative skills along with significantFF&E experience.
    • To produce fullFF&E schemes for the interior projects and to producedetailed CAD drawings of plans and elevations.
    • Has the authority to do detailed working drawings, designs, plans,models and schemes, often using computer-aided design (CAD)software
    • Determine the client'sgoals and requirements of the project
    • Considerhow the space will be used and how people will move through thespace
    • Sketch preliminary design plans,including electrical layouts
    • Specify materialsand furnishings, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes,flooring, and plumbing fixtures
    • Prepare finalplans, using computer applications
    • Create atimeline for the interior design project and estimate projectcosts
    • Place orders for materials and overseeinstalling the design elements
    • Visit after theproject to ensure that the client is satisfied
    • Developing initial ideas and acquiring key information aboutpotential projects, discussing requirements in detail with clients(the brief) and setting project schedules;
    • Understanding clients' needs and the needs of the peopleusing the building, developing design concepts in consultation withthe client and establishing final briefs;
    • Considering materials and costs according to set budgets andnegotiating project fees;
    • Conductingfeasibility studies for projects;
    • Researchingand gathering information and photographs relating to theproject;
    • Producing 'sample' or'mood' boards for presentation toclients;
    • Sourcing products, e.g. fittings,furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration and dressing, andproviding samples for clients;
    • Working in ateam with other designers;
    • Supervising work atthe design stage and on site;
    • Working closelywith quantity surveyors to establish costs and work schedules onlarger projects, with architects and other design professionals todetermine the best use of space, and with manufacturers andcontractors;
    • Identifying new business andselling services to potential clients;
    • Keepingup to date with new developments in the designindustry.
    • Estimate material requirements andcosts, and present design to client forapproval.
    • Coordinate with other professionals,such as contractors, architects, engineers andplumbers.
    • Plan, design, and furnish interiorsof residential, commercial, or industrialbuildings.
    • Subcontract fabrication,installation, and arrangement of carpeting, fixtures, accessories,draperies, paint and wall coverings, art work, furniture, andrelated items.
    Profile


    • Bachelor of Architecture/Interior Design
    • Minimum Five (5) years work experience
    • Hospitality and residential experience.
    • Ability to use AutoCad, BIM Revit, Sketchup,Photoshop
    • Good communication and interpersonalskills
