Do you agree the baton needs to be passed on?

S. Lewis-Campbell , Co-Founder of
Beauty & the Beast Publishing (“BATB")
Empowering Women Entrepreneurs

It been a while since I've rewritten on beBee and what better way to restart by celebrating the journey of a Successful Purpose Driven Woman I recently had the pleasure of talking to:

This series is as always, about raising awareness among Women enabling them to take the entrepreneur baton in their hands.

So pour yourself a nice cup of tea or coffee and snuggle up somewhere comfortable as you as read on! or you can listen to my podcast here

Hi, I’m Fatima Williams. I've miss my favorite bees here on beBee but I mostly keep in touch with most of them on other social networks.

Most of the success in my career I owe to a lifelong of learning from people real life experiences and many of those whom I interact with on a day-to-day basis. They have taught me so many invaluable lessons. But I also KNOW without any doubt that mental toughness and knowing how to coach myself has become critical to my personal and professional growth over the past 15 years. My Passion is to help create a Purpose-Driven world around me. I'm on a mission to help 100,000 individuals achieve intentionality by showing them how to unblock their mindset, identify and transform their fears as rudders to their passion and achieve their Dream Career and Lifestyle.

As a part of my upcoming Intentionality Series - “Pass the Baton on to Aspiring Entrepreneurs” we are talking to S. Lewis-Campbell , Co-Founder of Beauty & the Beast Publishing (“BATB”) – her company has taken up a social responsibility to publish writers from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, providing them a voice and opportunity as social beings. I absolutely love that.

Prior to becoming full-fledged writers, Shara worked as an Executive Assistant to the Board within the Healthcare industry.

The Intentionality series focuses on understanding Purpose Driven Achievements.

Success is a fulfilling sweet journey when it's aligned with our purpose and we celebrate individuals who share their knowledge and Pass the Baton on to Aspiring entrepreneurs - We are Raising Awareness especially among Amazing Women who are siting on some serious talent.

Intentionality’ derives from the Latin verb ‘intendere’, which means “to point to” or “to aim at” Intentionality is in fact being deliberate about something. Being purposeful.

"Intentionality means characteristics of an individual’s actions that requires the individuals to have goals that are purposeful and select behaviors that are in the service of attaining the goals."

You have an idea, you have something that you want to do, you want a business that you want to start up, how do you go about doing it? Entrepreneurs, women in general all around the world face major challenges BUT many are inspiring us to shape the future of global business.

I've learnt alot about the challenges women face and see for myself the walls we built in front of us. This series is looking forward to your support on bringing to light many such Inspirational Stories!

Inspiring Women are a Celebration to the World Every Single Day.

In Today’s Episode we talk to an amazing Purpose Driven Entrepreneur with Intentionality S. Lewis-Campbell from London to find out how she found her purpose, got the courage to break down the walls built in front of her and solidify the foundation for her purpose!

Thank you, S. Lewis-Campbell, for being a part of this Intentionality Entrepreneur series.

We are here to talk Celebrate YOU and talk about your journey and to inspire Women to take up the baton!

 1. Do you agree we need to pass the baton on and why?

Yes, for everyone to learn from our experiences and for their individual growth. To give back to the community.

 2. What is your purpose? And how is it aligned with what you do at beauty and beast publishing?

It is to provide a voice for the voiceless through our platforms. By doing so we allow authors to forge independent careers and everlasting legacies for their families.

 3. Can you tell us a little bit of your transition from a regular job to the entrepreneurial pathway? What helped you the most to kickstart the journey?

Whilst working full-time I paid for my studies in becoming a writer, half-way through my BA English I was provided with an opportunity to learn the skills of editing, proofreading and publishing with a small subscription magazine. A year after my studies, I opened my first small publishing company and published my first novel.

 4. Who is your greatest support when facing up hardships in business? How do you surround yourself with people who help you succeed and what’s your advice to us?

My business partner Andrew Foster, whose unwavering support is invaluable to me and our business. Outside of that I receive a lot of support from our business partners and our community.

5.  What’s your advice to aspiring entrepreneurs on not missing out on promising opportunities?

To feel the fear and go for it anyway and don’t be put off by the workload.

 6. What entrepreneurial tricks/tips you have discovered on this journey to keep you focused and productive in your day-to-day busy schedule?

Be intentional, consistency is key, only start a business you feel completely aligned to so it doesn’t feel like work, but more like love.

 7. Do you follow some specific self-control mechanisms to encourage you to keep walking when things are not going as smoothly as planned?

I do Tai-Chi daily and some cardiovascular exercise. I meditate and practice breathing techniques to maintain my creative mindset.

 8. That's wonderful I should try my hand at it. 😉 Can you tell us who inspired you and the one number book you’ve read that inspired you to be a writer?

I was inspired by J.K. Rowling’s personal story in becoming a writer, I resonated with the obstacles she faced at the time. After reading her Biography I took the necessary steps to become a published author and establish myself as a writer within the industry.

 9.  You have written a book about yourself; can you tell us more about it?

I’ve written four McGauran’s Beach, and McGauran’s Beach, The Betrayal and McGauran’s Beach: Lies and Deceit. It’s a Trilogy and the last excerpt will be published early 2022. The book is based on a true story, detailing my life in Australia and focuses on the Racism and Prejudice I experienced, and how I was able to overcome them.   “In addition Andrew and I have written Beauty & the Beast: Two Souls Connected by Divine Literature” released early in 2021 which talks about our journeys within the industry and how our company came to be.

 10. What is your greatest fear, and how do you manage fear in general? How do you acknowledge and manage your barriers or obstacles?

My greatest fear is the ageing process which I have express about in my poem 50/50 Although, I am aware it’s a process I cannot change the significance for me is whenever I age, I also age my parents and my grandparents. That’s the difficulty I struggle most with. That is why it is so important to appreciate the present.

11. Can you recall a specific time when a woman or the support of other women changed your life?

Very much so, early during my employment at the age of 18, I had a female manager who basically took me under her wing and showed me what being a strong woman was about and how to run a business. We would eventually go on to run our first business together in Recruitment. I owe a lot to Chris she put me in the know and was my first experience of female empowerment. Chris and I are still great friends today.

 12.  Are you an adventurous type of person? What’s the most exciting experience you’ve had?

I suppose I am in my own way, and a little rebellious in that I am keen to do things on my own terms without being governed. I have my own mind, thoughts and dreams that I plan to fulfil. The most adventurous things I’ve ever done is travel the world on my own five times and have travelled to 29 destinations in the past four years. For me, it doesn’t get more adventurous than that.

 13. Looking about at this year, what do you wish you knew before you started your journey?

I wish I had met my business partner at the start of my career, life would have been extremely different for both of us, and our business would have been able to serve many more individuals.

 14. I believe, the greatest gift we can give ourselves is the gift of our own attention, discovering from within what is true and authentic. And you’ve done that. What’s your advice to others on the same?

"There is no greater attribute than being full authentic in all that you do. It is how you can stay true to yourself " - S. Lewis-Campbell

 15. Can you tell us more about Beauty and Beast Publishing and how to get in touch with you?

Wonderful interview @🐝 Fatima G. Williams and S. Lewis-Campbell

Leaning into and moving beyond our fears transcends our limiting beliefs about the self and frees us to move in all directions. The only boundaries that exist are the ones we place upon ourselves.

Wishing you both a very happy and prosperous New Year!
