    JOB TITLE: Pipeline Designer - Alignment Sheets (Oil & Gas Upstream Operations)

    JOB SUMMARY:

    We are in need of a skilled Pipeline Designer who specializes in alignment sheets for our Oil & Gas Upstream Operations. The ideal candidate will be tasked with creating detailed alignment sheets for pipeline projects, ensuring precision, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. This position calls for strong proficiency in pipeline design software, exceptional communication skills, and a sharp attention to detail.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Alignment Sheet Development: Create detailed alignment sheets for pipeline projects, including key information like pipeline routes, land boundaries, environmental features, and regulatory requirements.
    • Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze pertinent data such as survey reports, topographic maps, aerial imagery, and geological surveys to guide alignment sheet development.
    • Pipeline Route Optimization: Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance pipeline routes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental responsibility.
    • Compliance Assurance: Verify alignment sheet compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
    • Coordination: Work closely with diverse teams, including engineers, surveyors, environmental experts, and regulatory bodies to collect necessary inputs and approvals for alignment sheet creation.
    • Quality Control: Perform thorough quality assessments to validate the accuracy and integrity of alignment sheets, addressing any discrepancies or errors.
    • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of alignment sheet development processes, methods, and updates.
    • Technical Support: Offer technical support and guidance to project teams on alignment sheet requirements and specifications.
    • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of pipeline design technology advancements, tools, and best practices to implement enhancements for improved efficiency and quality.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated expertise in pipeline design, particularly alignment sheet development for Oil & Gas Upstream Operations.
    • Proficiency in pipeline design software like AutoCAD Civil 3D, PDS MicroStation, or similar tools.
    • Sound knowledge of surveying methods, geospatial data analysis, and cartographic principles.
    • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, DOT).
    • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and collaboration capabilities.
    • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize workload efficiently.
