Description

The duty of the Distribution Manager revolves around achieving revenue targets through supervisory leadership in a wholesale/distribution environment by acting as strategic lead for the team.

On a senior role, you represent the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers' needs and expectations are met by the company.

The essential duties and main responsibilities are as follows:
A


OPERATIONAL:

  • Oversee distribution operations and provide business leadership to ensure all resources are optimized at any given time.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts to retain a clientaccount manager relationship by upselling and crossselling
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
  • Direct and analyze all elements of distribution, from receipt through shipment to end customer, and make recommendations as to how processes can be optimized. Provide cost savings recommendations and ensure spend is within budget
  • Prepare, execute and complete action plans. Meet distribution operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Develop distribution operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes, manpower utilization, inventory management, and understand market demography.
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Work with design, sales team, creative, advertising, logistics, managers, marketing, and team members from other departments dedicated to the same client account to ensure the highest quality of materials are being produced and all client needs met.
  • Keep up to date with competition, market trends and relevant product lines associated with the business. Ensure product knowledge is observed across the team.

REPORTING:

  • Submit progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Send out information to management on regular intervals pertaining to monthly target achievements, market trends and analysis, brand and category movements, aging stocks, etc.
  • Proactively lead a joint companystrategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and threeyear period.
  • Submit operational suggestions towards improvement of existing processes, policies or procedures.

ADMINISTRATIVE:

  • Ensure proactive involvement in, accountability for and demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, incident management and understanding of current laws and Company policies regarding workplace safety
  • Maintain, as per process, any and all customer communication, invoices, approvals etc. to ensure audit trails and effective customer interaction
  • Understand and become an expert with regards to all organizational systems and product knowledge that are conducive for your role.
  • Maintain all orders, requests, quotes and invoices for audit trails and reporting purposes.

GENERAL:

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Comply with existing policies as required.

Salary:
AED18, AED25,000.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
