Position:
Commis Chef

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including cutting, peeling, and slicing.
Follow recipes and cooking techniques to prepare and cook various dishes.
Set up and organize workstations with necessary ingredients, equipment, and utensils.
Monitor and maintain stock levels of ingredients, assist in receiving and storing deliveries.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area.
Assist in the final presentation of dishes, following portion sizes and garnishing guidelines.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
Continuously learn and improve culinary skills and knowledge.
High school diploma or equivalent culinary training preferred.
Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, handle multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical stamina and ability to work standing for extended periods and lift heavy objects when required.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications and Skills:

Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
