A very passionate and dynamic teacher with a great experience in teaching English, in both American and British schools. I'm also a CELTA and TEFL Certified Teacher who is familiar with department needs and leadership strategies. Seeking position with room for advancement and growth. My main aim is to employ a differentiated approach to provide a student-centered learning environment that fosters critical thinking and addresses varied students' needs.
Experience
I am a CELTA certified teacher with more than 8 years of experience, primarily teaching middle and high school students in American curriculum schools as well as teaching the British curriculum for two years. Besides, I have taught English as a second language to adults at Berlitz Language Centre in addition to my experience in teaching multilingual learners during my CELTA course, complementing my diverse background in education.
I am deeply passionate and committed to fostering an environment where every student feels empowered to achieve their full potential. My teaching approach is student-centered, aiming to cater to individual needs and facilitate progress and growth. Additionally, students' wellbeing is an important matter to me; therefore, I try to create classroom environment that is fun and that fosters positivity and independence. My students are given voice and choice; they take ownership of their own learning.
Education
I hold a bachelor degree in English language and literature and I have completed both TEFL and CELTA courses. I have obtained the Cambridge CELTA with the highest grade, Pass A.
During the course, I have taught groups of multilingual classes and taught different levels of students (pre-intermediate - upper intermediate).
- I have taught a variety of lesson types (reading, listening, vocabulary, grammar).
- Instructed 6+ hours under the observation of my tutors and the rest of the trainees.
- Observed 6+ hours of live and recorded lessons by experienced teachers.
- Demonstrated perceptive self-evaluation and observation of fellow trainees throughout the course.
- Read different methodology books, like (The Practice of English Language Teaching by Jeremy Harmer/ Practical English Usage by Michael Swan and Learning Teaching by Jim Scrivener).
- Explored varied course books and materials Designed my own teaching materials and activities.
- Received detailed feedback on my teaching practice and assignments Passed all 4 assignments without a single resubmission.
