I’m holding an MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan university of UK with Merit Pass. I completed B.Sc. (Hons) in Facilities Management from the University of Moratuwa in Sri Lanka. This degree is accredited from RICS(UK), BIFM(UK) and IFMA.

I bring set of comprehensive strength on following practices such as Integration of total Hard facilities Management services (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing system Systematic Management), soft service management such as (Housekeeping, Waste management, Gardening and Security system management), most vital part of FM operation is Environmental Health and safety system such as ISO 45001:2018 and contract management. My strength is set an example walk in talk with the team through day to day routine involvement of the engineering operation.

Experience

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of various facilities across the country
  • Ensuring that relevant building maintenance, repairs and services are completed efficiently, on time and budget
  • Managing MEP services such as HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing system
  • Developed and Maintain the Assets Register in the build environment to retrieval assets details and to prepare the maintenance Plan
  • Developed the Comprehensive PPM Plan and their checklist
  • Maintain the all the records of the assets PPM checklist and their present status
  • Implement the best Occupational health and safety practice in the built environment to meet ISO 45001:2018
  • Tracking budgets and ensuring payment is made on time
  • Working with a variety of contractors from a number of different sectors to agree and form contracts and agreements
  • Managing all security issues at the allocated premises including finding the right security companies, CCTV specialists and guards to protect the premises
  • Managing the soft services such as Cleaning, Gardening, waste management and pest control services
  • Ensuring health and safety regulations are met at all times and by all parties
  • Updating the Health and Safety policies based on new government regulations
  • Managing the Health & Safety of all stakeholders at the sites; ensuring that the relevant staff are fully trained in first aid, emergency evacuations and fire safety
  • Liaising with HR regarding temporary workers and short-term contractors
  • Managing third-party contractors and agency staff across various premises
  • Develop the Budget for the day –to day- Operation in the Community Management office
  • Develop the system to collect the Utility bills, Sinking Fund and Management Fund as per the acceptable term and condition
  • Updating accidents and incidents records whenever they occur
  • Liaising with head office regarding property contracts and leases
  • Producing specialist reports for the senior management and board of directors
  • Keeping track of personnel’s working hours and absences
  • Organising visits and responsible for booking rooms and meetings
  • Performing regular site inspections
  • Holding regular team meetings to ensure everyone is up-to-date with the latest developments in the organisation and addressing any issues or concern.

Education

1.B.Sc. (Hons Degree) in Facilities Management In Department of Building Economics, from faculty of Faculty of Architecture at the  University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka which is accredited by Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS, UK).

  • Successfully completed the eight months of Industrial Training programme with a “Highly Commended Pass’’ (A).
  • Successfully completed the Individual Research Dissertation with a “Highly Commended Pass” (A-).

2. Successfully completed MBA in at Cardiff Metropolitan University from United Kingdom with the Merit Pass.
