    Job Overview

    We are seeking a creative and innovative Apparel Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion, a keen eye for trends, and the ability to translate concepts into stylish and marketable clothing designs. As an Apparel Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing designs for our apparel line, ensuring they align with brand aesthetics, target audience preferences, and industry standards. This role requires strong artistic skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with the design team and other stakeholders to understand brand objectives, target audience, and market trends.
    • Research and analyze fashion trends, fabrics, colors, and techniques to inform design concepts.
    • Create sketches, mood boards, and design prototypes to visualize and communicate design ideas effectively.
    • Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications for production, including measurements, materials, and construction techniques.
    • Help to build and grow existing and new customers
    • Basic understanding of product bill of material and costing .
    • Should be able to develop product designs keeping customer target retail and supplier fob cost in mind.
    • Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and manufacturing processes to enhance design capabilities and efficiency.
    • Work closely with patternmakers, sample makers, and manufacturers to ensure designs are executed accurately and within established timelines.
    • Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to prototypes to achieve desired fit, silhouette, and quality.
    • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop marketing materials, presentations, and promotional strategies for new collections.
    • Participate in product presentations, trade shows, and fashion events to showcase designs and build brand visibility.
    • Uphold brand standards and quality benchmarks throughout the design and production process.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers and interns, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or related field.
    • Proven experience as an Apparel Designer or similar role in the fashion industry.
    • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design concepts and finished products.
    • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
    • Excellent understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and sewing techniques.
    • Knowledge of textiles, fabric properties, and sourcing.
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Exceptional creativity, artistic flair, and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
    • Passion for fashion, innovation, and staying ahead of industry trends.
