Purpose of therole
The Senior Campaign Executive isresponsible for daytoday media liaison and project managementwithinaccounts. As the most mediafocused role within the ClientServicing team a Senior CampaignExecutive will thrive onsuccessfully pitching their clients stories to the media. Thisperson integratessocial media into PR campaigns and has thenecessary skills to communicate effectively with their clientsteamsand mediacontacts.
Keyresponsibilities andtasks
ClientManagement
Assists the CampaignManagers and Campaign Directors with the management of clients andprojects
Offers thoughtful advice and recommendations toclients and team regarding media strategytactics and mediaopportunities
Maintains assigned relationships withclients establishing self and LEWIS as aninvaluable
longterm partner for marketing andcommunications services
Manages communication with selectclients and ensures deadlines and service agreementsare metconsistently
Participates in the business developmentprocess by supporting with pitch preparationandresearch
MediaRelations
Understands andavidly follows the news agenda positioning clients and productswithin the widernews narrative
Directly pitches engagingcontent to journalists bloggers and analysts on an ongoingbasis
Assists in the management of press/analyst toursbriefings and meetings
Reviews and refines campaignprogrammes at a tactical level ensuring ongoing relevanceandadapting plans where necessary
Deploys rapid responseto breaking news on behalf of clients reacting quickly to emergingstoriesin line with client profiles
Researches identifiesand approaches appropriate media contacts (eg. journalistsbloggersanalysts) on an ongoing basis
Identifies andsecures standing opportunities such as columns and Q&Aswith a wide range ofindustry and national news platforms
Continually builds a solid understanding of the media landscapeacross national regionalindustryspecific and verticalchannels
Attends and coordinates industry events with aview to growing and strengthening individual andLEWIS medianetwork
Content
Drafts a broad range of written materials including biographiesbriefing documents mediaalerts soundbites Q&Asbackgrounders and boilerplates ensuring a consistent level ofhighquality content
Creates press materials andcompelling content for both traditional and digital media
Creates valuable and insightful briefing sheets to assist clientswith their press communications
Understands and developsknowledge around how to find a good news angle or hook
Takes a developmental approach to improving writing abilityadapting and refining style to suitthe needs of theclient
Works with content specialists to ensure aconsistent level of quality for all written content
Usesinsight to create valuable briefing sheets for clients to useduring their press briefings
Reviews content drafted byCampaign Executives/Campaign Coordinators providing feedbackandguidance
Digital/ Social media
Uses socialmedia platforms to expand own network develop media relationshipsand
positively impact client results
Pitchesadditional digital content including infographics animations andvideo to supportwritten content and client aims
Usessocial media and proactively explores new tools solutions andprocesses to
continuously evolve and optimise client PRcampaigns
Provides social media insight as well asexecution and management of related digital activity
Works collaboratively with the digital team to increase theutilisation of digital services
whereverpossible
Teamworking and development
Mentorsand provides advice to graduates and account executives within thedirect and widerteam
Ensures personal objectives are meton an ongoing basis as well as meeting all deliverableclientobjectives
Accurately reports activity levels andregularly completes timesheets to ensurecorrect
allocation of client duties
Worksclosely with line manager to maximise own strengths improveweaknesses and
support individual and team careerdevelopment
Supports the training of graduates andinterns wherever possible
Regularly attends LEWIStraining sessions and daily press briefings to enhance skillsanddevelopknowledge
Reportingand analysis
Tracks and reportson media activity including coverage reports press clippings onlinemediaengagement
Reviews reports and metrics prepared byCampaign Executives/Campaign Coordinators
Ensures thatall account activity and results are reported back to the SeniorCampaign
Executive / Campaign Manager / CampaignDirector
Communicates account performance internally ataccount reviews
Provides reports to the Campaign Directoror senior management team onrequest
General
Supports the Client Servicing team on a range of initiatives andprojects
Takes a proactive role in promoting the LEWISbrand its work identity and values
Supports the HR /Talent team by promoting both internal and external opportunitiesat LEWIS
across social media and via the referralscheme
Contributes and supports the continuousimprovement of systems practices andpolicies
Aboutyou
Relevantexperience working in a B2B corporate consumer or digitalcommunications agencyenvironment at a Campaign Executive or SeniorCampaign Executive level
Attention to detail
Proven written and spoken abilityin English and Arabiclanguages
Creative thinking
Understanding ofclient business issues and requirements
Highly developedpresentation skills
