    DESCRIPTION OFPOSITION:

    The InpatientPsychiatric RN top priority is to deliver high quality safe care topsychiatric inpatients in the acute locked hospital The InpatientPsychiatric RN provides direct care and treatment to inpatients andcoordinates the care provided by other nursing The InpatientPsychiatric RN plans and coordinates each patient'sindividual nursing care plans, and implements nursing relatedaspects of the multidisciplinary treatment plan (MDTP). TheInpatient Psychiatric RN embraces Santa Rosa Behavioral HealthcareHospital's (SRBHH) mission, vision and value statementsand adheres to and follows all the hospital policies and TheInpatient Psychiatric RN understands the regulations and standardsthat govern acute psychiatric hospital services and provides cleardirection to their immediate nursing team to meet all regulations,standards, and

    KEYRESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assess inpatient needs, nursing staff resources andcomplete inpatient/unit assignments based on acuity, inpatienttreatment plan goals, and unit
    • Assess allinpatients' status, provide direct care to assigned groupof inpatients, documents patient care and assessments rendered,prepares and administers medications as needed, and ensurenecessary documentation is completed at the end of each
    • Provide clinical summary information to other teammembers at treatment team meetings, shift reports and other TheInpatient Psychiatric RN provides continual oversight of allinpatients and inpatient psychiatric unit

    Requirements

    Education/Licensure:

    • Current California RN License
    • Current CPR certification (or obtained within 30 days ofhire).
    • Current CPI certification (or obtainedwithin 30 days of hire).
    • Knowledge andexperience of psychiatric diagnosis and associated risks,medications, biological systems, nursing process, treatmentplanning, inpatient hospital unit operations, and New RN graduatesmay meet these requirements if they have completed a psychiatricrotation as part of nursing school or have psychiatric experiencein another
