JOB SUMMARY

Provide massageservices to guests using props and/or products. Provide bodytreatments to guests using body scrubs wraps and/or hydrotherapy.Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g.allergies high blood pressure and pregnancy) before beginningservice. Keep up to date with current techniques and modalitiesrelated to their field of work. Escort guests to and from treatmentrooms. Arrange workstation treatment room and/or drapes. Frequentlycheck with guest to promote comfort safety and security throughoutservice. Promote and sell spa services including retail offeringsrelated to the Spa. Clean maintain and sterilize tools. Maintaincleanliness of workstation and/or treatment room throughout shiftdispose of trash and dirty linens and secure supplies and equipmentat the end of each shift. Monitor and stick to time schedulethroughout the day. Handle inappropriate guest behavior byfollowing Marriott International standard operating procedures forInappropriate conduct for guests and therapists leading up to andincluding stopping a treatment or service and informingsupervisor/manager. Maintain current skills and licensure inservice area as per regional requirements.

Report accidents injuries and unsafe work conditions tomanager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow allcompany policies and procedures; make sure uniform and personalappearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality ofproprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome andacknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipateand address guests service needs; thank guests with genuineappreciation. Speak with others using clear and professionallanguage. Develop and maintain positive working relationships withothers. Stand sit or walk for an extended period of time; graspturn and manipulate objects of varying size and weight. Move liftcarry push pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10pounds without assistance. Grasp turn and manipulate objects ofvarying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and handeyecoordination. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested bySupervisors.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in spa &hospitality industry

Skills and Knowledge

• Good oral and written communication skills inEnglish
• Excellent hospitalityskills
• Passion to work with people.
• Able to get on well with people from many differentbackgrounds.
• Able to work under pressure attimes.
• Ability to be versatile Must be able towork as scheduled and flexible hours as shift extending may existat end of shift based on business demands. Department andindividual roster will depend on business volume and customersegments in the hotel. Must be flexible with shift schedule at alltimes.

Education or Certification

• Min. 21years of age
• Minimum HSLC
• To have worked as therapist before. Preferably in arecognized Spa.
• Certified Massagetherapist

Essential Functions

Provide Spa Services

• Monitor and stick to time schedule to stay on schedulethroughout the day.
• Escort guests to and fromtreatment rooms.
• Assess guest needs andinquire about contraindications (e.g. allergies high blood pressurepregnancy) before beginning service.
• Checkwith guest to promote continued comfort throughout service (e.g.comfortable temperature amount of pressure).
• Provide massage services to guests using props (e.g. rainsticks hot stones) and/or products (e.g. oils gelslotions).
• Provide body treatments to guestsusing body scrubs wraps and/or hydrotherapy.
• Offer guests amenities such as water juice or heated neckpillows.
• Maintain current licensure in servicearea by taking continuing education if needed and renewing licensebefore expiration date where applicable.
• Keepcurrent with techniques and modalities related to field ofwork.
• Maintain current skills and licensure inservice area as per regional requirements.
• Arrange workstation treatment room and/or drapes topromote guest comfort and safety.
• Checkcomputer or reservation center for updates and changes to scheduleregularly throughout the day.
• Confirm guestfirst and last name and type of treatment scheduled prior tobeginning treatment.
• Handle inappropriateguest behavior by following Marriott International standardoperating procedure for Inappropriate conduct for guests andtherapists leading up to and including stopping a treatment orservice and informing supervisor/manager.
• Assist to maintain and develop clientdatabase.
• Assist to maintain guest historyfiles on all existing guests and create files for newguests.
• Review all upcoming appointments andtreatments.
• Demonstrate knowledge of currenttrends in spa industry.
• Maintain basic Spaknowledge of the following: Spa operating hours spa menu locationpricing fees and charges for all spa services that the massagetherapist performs and checkin and checkout procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of retail brands services and specialpromotions available in the Spa.
• Maintainworking knowledge of Spa equipment and facilities that the massagetherapists typically uses throughout their work shift.
• Promote and sell spa services including retail offeringsrelated to the Spa.
• To assist in manning thelobby Spa promotional desk and Recreation desk whenavailable
• Follow Saray Spa treatment standardsand ensure consistency at all times
• Assist inmaintaining supplies and equipment inventories withinbudget.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness ofspa and related areas and equipment.
• To betrained and assist in spa booking process including Spa Soft andMicros
• Provide assistance to the Receptionistwhenever available or not booked for a treatment. To assist inmanning the Reception area by receiving calls as well as incomingguests when free
• Assist in marketing andselling the spa at the pool deck lobby desk and Executive Lounge asrequired
• As the hotel operates 24 hours 7 daysa week any reasonable requests by your managers must be honoredincluding schedule changes.

Maintain Spa Environment

• Set up workstation and/or treatment room with necessaryproducts equipment and supplies.
• Cleanmaintain and sterilize tools (e.g. hot stones etc.) and equipment(e.g. steamers etc.).
• Maintain cleanliness ofworkstation and/or treatment room throughout shift.
• Secure supplies and equipment at the end of eachshift.
• Dispose of trash and dirty linens inthe proper area.
• Evaluate equipment to assessproper functioning and report deficiencies.
• Help promote teamwork.
