    Description
    • Work with business stakeholdersand IT to set the overarching data direction for the company from adata model and data architecture standpoint (under the guidance andsteering of the GM OperationalPerformance)
    • Actively facilitate thecollaboration of disparate data processing and analysis teamsacross the organization, bringing these groups together around acommon direction, pipeline and way ofworking
    • Define and build the underlying datamodel and data pipelines for automotive operations (with thesupport and collaboration of IT)
    • Identify andpromote (via business case) new solutions and architectureopportunities to enhance our datacapabilities
    • Push forward our AI and MLdirection, giving clear recommendations and guidance (+ valuebenefit) of AI and ML activities
    • Open up newrevenue opportunities via data, working closely with our BlueRewards loyalty team on how we seamlessly bring this data sourceinto the automotive customer experience
    • DataArchitecture, Security &Quality
    • Establish a fit for purpose dataarchitecture (in conjunction with IT) built on Azureplatform
    • Oversee and implement upgrades to SAPdata architecture and BIW (data warehouse) operations, coveringfinancial and operational data, including S4Hana implementation andSAP Analytics Cloud
    • Develop significantimprovements to the metadata and database schemas of the businessto then subsequently operate this within an overarching data modeland quality framework
    • Untangle the existingdata structure of the business and associated architecture toensure a clean data structure moving forward during the transitionto Azure platform
    • Ensure all businessrequirements are captured and fed into the delivery programme forfuture data architecture builds and decisionmaking
    • Assess (and run routine ongoingassessments) of our database health and capabilities, ensuring aconsistent checklist and audit procedure to drive improvements tounderlying data pipelines
    • Create and publishdata architecture updates and directions (including architecturalmapping) as required to keep the business informed on ourunderlying data landscape
    • Enforce the highestdata quality and controls standards alongside IT (creatingguidelines where absent)
    • Mandate and enforcedata securities and safeguards relating to operationaldata
    • Create operating procedures for data flowand control (from ingest through todestruction/removal)
    • Oversee and manage alldata processes for the operations function, working with IT toensure common standards and ways ofworking
    • Research and recommend data acquisitionand/or connection opportunities to enhance our data structure andcapabilities (both internally across our businesses and with 3rdparties)
    • Develop and hone interface layers (asrequired and where they derive value) in conjunction withIT
    • Oversee migration tocloud

    Skills

    RequiredSkills to besuccessful:

    • Minimum 5years' experience in data management
    • Data flow management
    • SAPstack (S4Hana and SAC) and Azure dataplatforms
    • Bachelor's degree in IT,Data engineering, computerscience
