The Division of Engineering at New YorkUniversity Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a motivated postdoctoralassociate to work under the supervision of professor Khaled Shahinin structural mechanics, with emphasis on fiber reinforced polymer(FRP) composites. The successful applicant must have a strongbackground in the area of structural mechanics with emphasis on FRPcomposite materials. Familiarity with testing, manufacturing, ormodeling of FRP composites is a plus. The candidate will work in amultidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientistsand undergraduate students. In addition to conducting high-qualityinnovative research, responsibilities also include publishingresearch findings in scientific journals and conferences, mentoringundergraduate students, and participate in drafting research grantproposals.
