    The Team Leader is responsible for coordinating daily workshop activities, allocating work orders, supporting technicians, and ensuring all repairs are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with manufacturer standards. This role acts as a key link between Technicians, Service Advisors, and Management to maintain productivity, quality control, and continuous improvement within the workshop.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Allocate work orders appropriately to individual technicians based on skill level and workload.
    • Ensure technicians accurately clock in and out of assigned work operations.
    • Monitor repair progress to ensure jobs are started and completed within agreed timelines.
    • Liaise closely with Service Advisors to ensure accurate and complete job information is shared.
    • Ensure technicians maintain high productivity and efficiency during working hours.
    • Verify that all work order items are clearly defined and aligned with customer, warranty, retail, and internal requirements.
    • Remain actively involved with technicians by mentoring, advising, and providing hands-on support.
    • Take ownership of repeat repairs and ensure rapid and effective resolution.
    • Assess customer concerns through inspections, road tests, or other appropriate methods when required.
    • Ensure technicians follow workshop manuals and manufacturer procedures at all times.
    • Ensure correct usage of tools and equipment.
    • Translate customer concerns into clear technical work instructions for technicians.
    • Liaise with manufacturers for technical support and reporting requirements.
    • Promote safety, environmental protection, and customer property care within the workshop.
    • Support accurate documentation of all work performed and defects identified.
    • Conduct quality checks where applicable and sign off QC sections on work orders or identify areas requiring further assessment.
    • Report work quality, tooling, and resource issues to the Workshop Manager in a timely manner.
    • Minimize lost time through organized workflow planning and disciplined execution.
    • Accurately record and report lost time when it occurs.
    • Support Service Advisors during initial diagnostics or vehicle handover when required.
    • Perform any additional duties aligned with company objectives as assigned by senior management.
    Qualifications & Experience
    • Experience: Qualified and experienced Technician with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in an automotive workshop environment.
    • Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Certification: Valid Qualification Certification is required.
