- Responsible fordevelopment and implementation of creative and innovative packagingsolutions for Henkel consumer brand products conforming to thehighest international standards and quality, functionality, cost,sustainability, market, safety, regulatory and legalrequirements.
- Develop packaging solutions forpromotional activities.
- Conduct qualificationand validation of packaging including performance and compatibilitytesting, provide technical input for and approve packagingartworks.
- Responsible for the maintenance ofpackaging specification databases, including conductingmeasurements and statistical analysis.
- Identifyand evaluate materials that contribute to process and costimprovements, and complexity reductioninitiatives.
- Support Henkel'sSustainability agenda and compliance with APCO covenantobligations.
- Keep abreast of and activelysearch for packaging trends and relevant new technology/materialsthat may lead to a competitiveadvantage.
- Develop strong and collaborativerelationships with packaging suppliers, and peers and stakeholderswithin and beyond R&D.
- Ensure that allactivities/performance tests/processes are fitting to Henkelstandards and good lab practices, including management of Labconsumables, calibration, andmaintenance.
- Degree(s) inPackaging/Chemical/Mechanical/Biochemical Engineering or comparabledegree.
- Minimum of 6 years'experience in a packaging role within FMCG or similarindustry.
- Experience in using measurement andtesting equipment.
- Good written and verbalcommunication skills coupled with a mature/professionalacumen.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word,Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe (Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop), andstatistical analysis software.
- Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail andeager to learn.
- Self-motivated, creative, andan open-minded team-player.
- Able to criticallyanalyze situations and provide insightful observations andimprovements.
- Able to manage workload, meetproject deadlines and perform tasks in an organizedmanner.
