    McKie Recruit are pleased toshare this fantastic opportunity in a top 100 law firm. The firm isa market leader in both the Personal Injury Sector and ClinicalNegligence. Our client is seeking a Personal Injury litigationassistant to join their graduate scheme. This is the perfect firststep to becoming qualified. From day one you will be workingtowards a training contract. Our client already has almost 70 othertrainee solicitors undertaking a combination of the traditionalroute to qualifying via LPC or the SQE Degree Apprenticeship.

    JobSpecification
    Yourroles will include different areas of Personal Injury Law-including RTA, EL, OL/PL, & Clinical Negligence.
    • Chasingby telephone, e.g. medical records, police reports, engineerassessments, and clientstatements
    • Detail checking. Makingsure the initial attendance is accurate. Keeping the casemanagement file fully up todate
    • Clientcare
    • Document analysis. Research,review of expert reports, review of denials, quantum reviews,drafting of court documentation, attending applications, attendingconferences, taking notes
    • Witnessstatements
    • Weekly reviews withsupervisors
    • Four monthly appraisalsto discuss you and your career
    • Taskmanagement. You will be supporting a lawyer and theirclients.
    • Caseprogression


    Requirements

    Forthis position, our clients seek candidates who have strong legalacademic achievements (LLB, LLM, LPC, GDL). Ideally this will be intandem with relevant work experience. The successful candidate willbe expected to show desire for helping injured people as well asstrong commercial acumen.

    • StartingSalary is 20,000
    • Our standardworking hours are 8:30am to 5:30am Monday-Thursday and 8:30am to5pm Friday
    • 3/2 alternative workingfrom home pattern staff afterprobation
    • 23 days holiday a year,rising to 26 days (3 days reserved for Christmas closure of theoffice)
