    Description

    Data Manager

    The Center for Clinical Trials and Evidence Synthesis is seeking a Data Manager to support research for its Data Coordinating Center (DCC). Under the direction of the Principal Investigators, the incumbent will be responsible for participating in the planning and execution of data management activities that support the overall work of and research studies within the This position provides expert level design and development services such as databases, website interfaces, data collection forms, quality control analyses, and data dictionary Additional responsibilities include interfacing related databases and database transfers (, to outside investigators or data repositories).

    Specific Duties & Responsibilities

    • Follow best practices for data management and maintaining data in a secure
    • Create (design, build, and test) electronic data capture (, REDCap) databases for studies within the Center and then manage and update the study databases
    • Manage and update study databases
    • Develop and maintain a library of case report forms and data dictionaries for electronic data capture to support multiple research protocols for randomized clinical trials and cohort
    • Create and oversee quality control procedures for data collection/analysis including written reports and data quality
    • Import, clean, integrated data from multiple sources (, REDCap, electronic monitoring (actigraphy, spirometry), database maintained at outside institutions).
    • Work collaboratively with data analysts/study
    • Develop standard analytical summary data files, produce descriptive reports, including tables and
    • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, training modules, and documentation as needed and provide training for study personnel on performing data entry and running
