    Description

    PositionResponsibilities:

    • Researching contractual and BoeingQuality Management System requirements for applicability tospecific proposals and program processes anddocumentation.
    • Supporting LSCC (Line SideControl Centre) to ensure timely responses to productionissues.
    • Support the FAIprocess
    • Support the Calibration system toensure that measurement and test equipment is calibrated asrequired.
    • Develops sections of quality metrics,design and production certification plans to ensure compliance withcontractual, Company and regulatoryrequirements.
    • Maintains and monitors activesample inspection plans in accordance company policies.Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes areincorporated into product designs. Performs data analysis to ensuremanufacturing and test readiness.
    • Providesmaterial review dispositions fornon-conformances.
    • Analyses non-conformancetrends to evaluate effectiveness of correctiveactions.
    • Compiles performance reports and otherstatistical data to ensure specified processes capability levelsare achieved.
    • Works under generalsupervision.
    • Facilitates 8 step problem solvingactivities.

    Some examples of day to day dutiesalso include:

    • Assistance with the upkeep anddevelopment of QA related documentation
    • Supportinspection activities when needed
    • Point ofcontact between QAI's, Operations and SupplyChain
    • Supporting the LSCCteam
    • Deploy the wider QA strategy through theQA department and beyond
    • Training and mentoringvarious departments across the business in QAprinciples
    • Generation and approval of FirstArticles

    Basic Qualifications(Required Skills/Experience):

    • 3+ years' experience workingin a manufacturing environment.
    • 3+years' experience working within an ISO9001 accreditedQMS
    • Experience in the use and interpretation ofengineering drawings, standards andspecifications.
    • Experience in the use of manualmeasuring equipment
    • Experience in the use ofproblem solving tools (5-Why, Ishikawa etc)

    PreferredQualifications (DesiredSkills/Experience):

    • Experience working in a manufacturingenvironment – machining
    • Workingwithin an AS9100 accredited QMS
    • Experienceworking with calibration systems and gaugecontrol
    • Good understanding of the basicoperation and control of CMMs and similar automated measurementequipment.
    • Internal and/or external auditortraining/experience
    • GD&T (GeometricalDimensioning and Tolerancing) Training or experience in theinterpretation of complex drawings.
    • Experiencein proactive and reactive quality tools (8D, APQP,FMEA)

    TypicalEducation/Experience:

    Education/experiencetypically acquired through advanced education BSc degree inEngineering / Manufacturing / Quality (not essential) and typically3 o or more years of related work experience working in a Qualityrole, or an equivalent combination of education andexperience.
