    Description
    Complete careful reasoning and arbitrationregarding the bank's new customers, existing customers,payment alerts and investigations. Identify and investigateunusual/suspicious cases and report them to the UAE CentralBank/Executive Office for Control and Non-Proliferation asappropriate. Identify sanctions risk exposure and reduce risksassociated with referred clients or clientactivity.
    Where required, perform system testing andmaintenance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements andreduce risk for theBank
    Responsibilities
    Reviews of clients whoare transferred to the sanctions list:
    Receive and reviewaccount opening/know your customer (KYC) escalations related topotential sanctions risks.
    Work with relevant businessunits including monitoring and control teams to ensure appropriateinformation is obtained and risks areidentified.

    Document decisions regarding audited clients,advise on compliance with penalties indicated by operations andbusiness units and provide approvals for all escalatedcases.

    Investigations and reviews related tosanctions

    Review escalated alerts against customer and/orpayment data, investigate potential sanctions risks, collectdocumentary evidence, and build/maintain case files for suspectedtransactions and customers.

    Updating relevant MIS reportsto ensure accurate tracking and recording,

    Identify andreduce sanctions risks by making decisions on which screeningsystem is applied for sanctions, updating internal lists, andensuring required actions are taken in accordance with applicablestandard operating procedures and regulatoryrequirements.
