• MRO of TEFST - Turbines, Engines, Fuel Systems, Turbochargers, Hydraulic Systems (and their components)
• within the M&E shop premises or (if required) in-situ / on deck. In addition to that he will be running, Machining, Additive Manufacturing, and related R&D efforts
• Manufacturing of parts as required for internal & external customers.
• He/ She will be responsible to implement Technical Services and Corporate Goals and Objectives for M&E shop, advise most efficient, cost effective and safe techniques and equipment suitable for accomplishing desired results in given time and budget, while preserving the function of our physical assets throughout their life period. Willing to share his knowledge gained from extensive industry experience in machining and additives manufacturing, specifically related to Ship and/or Rig MRO.
• Technical Services R&D activities will also be consolidated under this role. M&E shop Manager supports
• continuous improvement efforts within the Technical Services team, investigation of root cause failures and deriving preventative and corrective actions.

• M&E shop equipment set up, process flow, availability of required tools, auxiliary equipment etc.
• Ensuring smooth execution of manufacturing works in his area of responsibility, Efficient production planning and execution, availability of proper tooling, utilization of equipment and assets.
• Manning equipment with trained staff, sufficient for the required task but avoiding excessive idle time.
• Good knowledge of rig & ship equipment and common maintenance and repair issues
• Programming of the machines, setting up of the job with required jigs and holders, Good knowledge in tooling, work piece holding and other relevant fixtures.
• Preparation of specifications for the new tools, assets and consumables required to be purchased for business needs, as well as SOPs for existing machinery and other procedures & work instructions as required for his/her scope.
• Manages workflows, monitoring the utilization of related equipment and ensuring their most effective usage throughout the lifespan. He/ She contributes to the development of the new facility, processes, and organization under his/her command.
• Support Technical Services General Manager in feasibility studies considering M&E shop capabilities as well as International Standards and Client requirements.
• Review new projects SOW and provide feedback regarding time (manhours, machining hours) estimation and tooling requirements.
• Support Technical Services HSE and Inspection teams for complying with quality and safety norms in accordance with Company Policy and QHSE Management System.
• General management responsibilities of His / Her team in accordance with IMI's policies and applicable laws.
• Support Technical Services Management as required in effective recruitment, selection, training, and certification of personnel, As well as appraising performance; rewarding and counselling His / Her team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems with participation of Technical Services Management.
• Work closely with Technical Services HSE team to engineer out potential hazards, to provide a safe working environment, for all employees.
• Be informed of changes to applicable International Standards and communicate them to relevant departments for implementation & compliance.

• Bachelor's or (preferably) master's degree in relevant field (Manufacturing or similar)
  
  

• 15+ years of similar role, preferably within shipbuilding or similar industry
  
  

• Industry relevant certifications and verifiable experience
• Milling, Grinding, Lathe, and other machining operations
• CAD, CAM software
• CNC Programming (Knowledge of G and M-code)
• Manual editing of machine programs
• Additive Manufacturing
• 3D Printing
• Reverse Engineering (Laser scanning)
• Materials and Research
  
  

• Deep knowledge of milling, grinding, lathe and other machining operations
• Experience in CNC programming as well as manual editing
• Practical knowledge of CAD, CAM software; capable of reviewing design and
• advising feasibility of manufacturing.
• Good knowledge of machine-related equipment and processes (e.g., tooling,
• inserts, coolant, chip removal etc.)
• Experience in Additive Manufacturing and related materials
• Knowledge of equipment and processes related to 3D printing and reverse
• engineering.
• Good working knowledge of TEFST equipment
• Technical writing capability
• Drafting of required SOP's and other procedural documents
