Asan Occupational Therapist in Al Ain you will be responsible for:

• Provide highlyspecialized assessments for complex pediatric patients withneurological, orthopedic, and social/behavioralissues
• Develop and implement appropriate andclinically reasoned treatment plans independently and incollaboration with an integrated team of physiotherapists,speech-language pathologists (SLPs), and other allied healthprofessionals
• Carry a mixed caseload ofpatients within the neurology specialty, with an emphasis on thosewith highly complex/chronicpresentations
• Provide highly specializedknowledge and skills for specialist seating, splinting, and otherpostural support aids
• Identify and select, incollaboration with the client/carers, the most appropriateintervention, balancing the complexity of risk, safety,client/carer choice, independence, areas of conflict, eligibilityfor service, and cost-effectiveness
• Useadvanced experience and knowledge to assess the client'sneeds for specific equipment and adaptations to allow them toimprove or maintain their level of independence in all Activitiesof Daily Living (ADL)
• Demonstrate highlyspecialized therapeutic moving and handling skills in theassessment and treatment of clients. Provide highly specializedadvice to staff, clients, carers, and families on the correctmanual handling techniques, and undertake highly specialized manualhandling risk assessments
• Take an active rolein the development of the rehabilitation service by participatingin in-service training, facilitating the training and developmentof non-therapy staff, and sharing knowledge and skills whereappropriate
