A Dubai based Metal Manufacturing and fabricating company is looking for SAFETY OFFICER with NABOSH.


Job description

  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with local and International safety regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Lead safety training sessions for employees, educating them on risk factors, safety procedures, and emergency response protocols.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and propose measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with management and departmental heads to integrate safety protocols into daily operations and project planning.
  • Maintain and update all necessary safety documentation and records, including incident reports, inspection logs, training records and other records as required for ISO 45001 Standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all safetyrelated inquiries, inspections, and audits from regulatory bodies.
  • Recommend improvements to existing safety measures and participate in the implementation of new safety equipment or procedures as needed.
  • Stay abreast of new legislation, standards, and technologies that relate to occupational health and safety and advise management on compliance strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal projects and operations department, supervise and manage other external safety officers.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a safety officer or safety engineer role, preferably within metal, steel or construction or engineering industry.
  • Certification in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of local and international safety regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in safety management information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Proactive and diligent with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Leadership and training skills, with the capacity to influence a culture of safety across the organization.

Salary:
AED2, AED3,000.00 per month
