    Description


    To act as Principal Investigator on researchprojects to develop proposals and conduct projects; withundertaking and supervision of day-to day tasks.

    To providescientific and strategic leadership with regards to marine ecologyresearch and create an enabling environment for scientific researchexcellence. To develop, write and submit proposals for majorresearch/conservation grants and funding programs. To manage theresearch project's budget as per the Center'sSenior Director guidance. To lead the production of high-qualityscientific publications, research reports, and other communicationmaterial. To develop collaborative research with YSWRR colleaguesand to actively promote external contacts and networks for localand international collaborations. To supervise the adequate use,schedule and maintenance of the experimental laboratory equipmentand facilities of the Center. To lead the marine ecology researchprogram, supervise students and coordinate collaboratingscientists.

    To conduct research effectively by maintaining accuraterecords of sampling/experiments/analyses performed, conductingrelevant literature searches, and maintaining an up-to-dateknowledge of all current methods of experimentation.

    To develop andupdate guidelines and protocols for field and lab operations andprocedures and to disseminate that information to research staffand students that work at the Center.

    To develop and manageconservation and/or restoration projects with governmental andnon-governmental agencies as well as other partners.

    To activelycontribute to the outreach goals and education programs of YSWRR.To collaborate with SeaWorld Abu Dhabi zoological and educationteams as required.

    To contribute to the overall success of YSWRRprojects by performing all other duties asassigned.
