    Role: InfrastructureEngineer Linux

    Location: Dubai

    Job Type: Long term Permanent

    Experience Needed: 10 plus years

    Skills:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and 10 yearsof experienced Linux and Windows

    Platform Engineer to manage maintain andoptimize our diverse server

    infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strongbackground in both Linux and

    Windows server environments possess expertlevel knowledgeof system

    administration and be capable of effectively managing andtroubleshooting complex

    IT systems.

    Key accountabilities & Tasks

    1. Server Infrastructure Management:

    o Manage maintain andoptimize a mixed environment of Linux and Windows servers

    ensuring theirreliability and availability.

    o Manage and maintain Oracle VM environment OEM OEMOCHyperV VMware

    o Managevirtual machines and containerized environments for scalable andefficient

    deployments.

    o Support Exadataoperating system and hardware level Experience to integrate

    services SaaS toIaaS/PaaS and vice versa.

    2. System Administration:

    o Perform system administration tasksincluding installation configuration security

    and maintenance of servers andassociated systems.

    3.Storage Virtualization:

    o Configure and manage storage virtualization technologiessuch as virtual storage

    appliances (VSAs) and softwaredefined storage (SDS).

    o Ensuring efficientfunctioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance

    with company securitypolicies and best practices in cloud security.

    4. Patch Management:

    o Implement patch managementprocedures to keep server operating systems

    software and applications up to date.

    5. Security andCompliance:

    o Ensureserver security by implementing best practices security policiesand

    compliancestandards.

    6.Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

    o Diagnose and resolve system and networkissues including performance

    optimization and system failures.

    o Open cases and followup with vendors fortechnical issues as and when required.

    o Collaborate with technical teams andmanagement to ensure high system availability

    to users.

    o Recommend evaluate and test new technologiesand tools including opensource.

    7. Backup and Disaster Recovery:

    o Develop and maintain backup and disasterrecovery plans and ensure regular testing.

    8. Monitoring and Performance Optimization:

    o Implement monitoringsolutions to proactively detect and address performance issues

    and optimize resourceusage.

    9. Automationand Scripting:

    oCreate and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks and improvesystem efficiency.

    oUtilize scripting languages and Ansible to automate activities.

    o Scripting like shellor python will be added.

    10.Documentation:

    o Maintain comprehensive documentation/SOP of serverconfigurations policies and

    Procedures.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelors degree in Computer Science InformationTechnology or related field (or

    equivalent work experience).

    Proven experience in managing Linux andWindows server environments including

    virtualization technologies (e.g. VMwareHyperV OVM KVM).

    Proficiency in system administration and configuration scripting(Bash PowerShell) and

    automation tools (e.g. Ansible Puppet or Chef).

    Strong understanding of securitybest practices and network protocols.

    Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWSAzure OCI) is a plus.

    Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to workindependently or in a team.

    Certifications:

    Relevant certifications such as OCI foundation orarchitect Certification in ITIL V4 Microsoft

    Certified: Azure Administrator orRed Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) are a plus.

    Soft Skills:

    Strong communication andteamwork skills.

    Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasksconcurrently.

    Proactive approach to problemsolving.

    Job Context & Complexity

    Integrate Linux environment with Windows.

    Skillset to configure andmaintain multiple opensource tools.

    Availability on 24x7 basis as and whenrequired.

    Projects tobe delivered in tight schedules.

    Ability to handle work pressure withoutcompromising on quality of work.
