    Description

    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

    ELVDesign Engineers responsible for the ELV design and related ELVengineering consultancy duties from project conceptualization tocompletion within a multidisciplinaryenvironment.

    DUTIES&RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Productionof electrical project design documentation in compliance with QA/QCprocedures to meet requirements of the Clients and the aspirationsof the Practice.
    • Designing Information andcommunications technology (ICT) systems Audio visual (AV )systemsecurity system (Closedcircuit television (CCTV) Access control)fire alarm and emergency voice evacuation system public address& background music building management systemetc).
    • Carrying out design reviews atappropriate intervals during the design process with the LeadEngineer.
    • Carrying out detailed designcoordination with other disciplines.
    • Managingother professionals on a project basis (engineers BIM/CADtechnicians and support staff) and ensuring that work produced isto the required quality produced on time and withinbudget.
    • Responding to site RFIs conductingreviews of specialist suppliers or contractor prepared designs andattending site meetings to resolve constructionissues.
    • Keeping records and related data ofdesign progress in order to maintain regular / timely update tohead of department.
    • Responsible for the designworks and documentation in order to achieve the project targetcompletion date.
    • Attending design and clientmeetings regularly and liaising with others for details of worksand coordination of requirements among variousparties.
    • In depth knowledge of local ELVregulations BICSI EIA/TIA standards international design standardsand codes ofpractice.

    KEY SKILLS:

    • Should have a thorough knowledge ofELV systems (CCTV alarm systems ACS PA BGM AV BMSetc.).
    • Able to work on AutoCADdrawings.
    • Worked in construction industry /environment.
    • Knowledge of QS &QC.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft officesuite.
    • Be selfmotivated and good communicationskills including written andspoken.
