    ExperienceEssential

    • Significant workplace-based,post-graduate laboratory experience of genetic testing in a NHSdiagnostic laboratory at band 5 orabove.
    • Significant practical experience of arange of genetic techniques including use and maintenance ofrelevant equipment andtroubleshooting.
    • Experience of working towardsUKAS accreditation and ISO:15189standards
    • Experience of using laboratorydatabases and LIMS.
    • Experience of trainingothers in laboratory techniques

    Desirable

    • Experience of managing/supervisingothers
    • Experience of validation/verification ofnew technologies or processes.
    • Experience ofchange management.

    Special KnowledgeEssential

    • Knowledge and experience of ITsystems and software packages relating to complex automateddiagnostic equipment and processes
