Responsibilities: Weatherford has a opening for a Accounting Manager in Abu DhabiManufacturing Plant. You will be responsible for acting as aAccounting Manager of a manufacturing facility enabling strongbusiness performance and ensuring adequate controls. The positionwill provide day to day support to the management team in line withthe performance objectives of the Finance & Accounting& policy compliance. This position will report directly tothe Plant Controller.
    RESPONSIBILITIES


    SAFETY SECURITY &COMPLIANCE

    • Maintains the highest standards of corporate governance ensuringthat all activities are carried out ethically and in compliancewith Companys Security Compliance & HSE policies ManagementSystem relevant laws regulations standards and industry practicesand complies with the Companys Rules to LiveBy
    • Places Quality Health & SafetySecurity and protection of the Environment as core values whilenever intentionally placing employees our processes customers orthe communities in which we live and work atrisk
    • Seeks continual improvement in HealthSafety Security & protection of the Environment taking intoaccount responsible care process vulnerabilities public customerand employee inputs knowledge and technology and best businesspractices to exceed customer expectations
    • Supervisors & Managers should demonstrate effective safetyleadership for the health and safety arrangements of allsubordinates and for any persons visiting them while on the Companypremises

    QUALITY
    • Responsible for being familiar with the Companys Quality policiesand takes an active role in the compliance and improvement ofWeatherfords Management System
    • Maintainsservice quality as immediate priorities when working across allareas of the business and continually seeks areas forimprovement

    OPERATIONS
    • Control ofdaytoday Accounting and Finance Activities including:
    • Assisting Management in Preparation of BudgetForecast and comparisons.
    • Assisting inStatutory audit Internal Audit and financialreports.
    • Operations Activities for accountsPayable including RNV payments balance sheetintegrity.
    • Monthend and Yearend closing.
    • Process Improvement in accounting function
    • Ensuring correct posting of PPV JCV WOclosure.
    • Cash Flow Management to ensureadequate weekly/monthly liquidity.
    • Dailycompletion of accounting costing activities.
    • Collaborate with other departments such as human resources andoperations to gather and provide financial information for regularaccrual & provisioning.
    • Participate inspecial projects and initiatives as assigned by seniormanagement.
    • Preparing monthly targets foroperation staff for shipments and Direct Labor hours andInventory.
    • Control in operational costincluding operating supplies/ Repairs/Overtime.
    • Develops periodical reports on jobsaccomplished personnel and equipment utilization sales andinventory generated revenue and incorporatedcosts.
    • Monitors and coordinates with otherdepartments the delivery of services tools and/or equipment;compares records with contracts/purchase orders requirements andreports discrepancies to Management.
    • Directsand coordinates activities of staff to obtain optimum efficiencyand economy of operations and maximize profits
    • Reviews the timesheets of staff & equipments and therelated financial dues.
    • Set and manage theproduction budget
    • Work assignments carried outto the highest quality level.
    • Must understandand comply with all safety rules and company policies ofWeatherford.
    • Perform various other dutiesassigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of thejob.

    COMMUNICATION
    • Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders bothinternal and where appropriate external
    • Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicateexpectations roles and responsibilities to theirreports

    Qualifications: KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ANDABILITIES
    REQUIRED
    • Comprehensiveunderstanding of Hyperion and the monthly processes used to collectdata.
    • Knowledge and application of US GAAPTechnical and analytical proficiencies.
    • Attention to detail with ability to translate into the bigpicture.
    • Logical reasoning critical thinkingand problem solving skills to troubleshootissues.
    • Organization and multi taskskills.
    • Strong work ethic sense of urgency andability to prioritize requests; ability to multitask and to workefficiently under pressure to meet deadlines while producing timelyand accurate deliverables.
    • Ability tounderstand complex data and to work in a dynamic fastpaceddemanding environment with time constraints.
    • Eagerness to accept diverse responsibilities and receptiveness tochange.

    • Understanding ofhow systems are interfaced.
    • Hyperionexperience using HFM/Essbase as an Advanced End User includingSmartView and FR Studio.
    • MS Office SuiteProficiency (use of macros and advanced Excel formulafunctionality)
    EXPERIENCEANDEDUCATION
    REQUIRED
    • Bachelors Degreein Accounting Finance
    • Certified publicaccountant(CPA) CA/ICWA license(Essential)
    • Miniumum of 3 years accounting experience at supervisorylevel
    • Manufacturing experience preferred
    • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual andproblemsolving
    PREFERRED
    • JD Edwards experience
    • Additional accountingexperience preferred JDSpecific
