    Description
    This is a remoteposition.


    Seekingone full-time resource to workonprovidingsenior consultation to performance and automation QA efforts suchas converting manual QA regression test cases into automation andproviding improvements to QA by improving coverage and time.

    Thesecondary task will be to maintain the existing automated testsuites on a release-to-release basis ensuring test cases andframework are stable for the executions necessary each release.

    Inaddition, mentoring and training state staff on repeatabletasks.

    Ata high level, the resource will work withMETS,DHS Operations, and System Modernization QA Performance andAutomation.

    QA has multiple efforts in progress of automating theQA Regression suite and needs a resource to assist successfulcompletion of work, while documenting processes and procedures forongoing maintenance and execution.

    Areas include but are notlimited to METS, SSIS efforts such as CCCPVA, BiP, MAARC.

    Inaddition to this effort, once initial development is complete, makeongoing updates and new test case automation as well as improveoverall efficiency of the automation.

    The successful responder willbe expected to develop and execute test automation plans andscripts for all phases of testing, communicate effectively, bothverbally and written, with all resources involved in a project, andreport defects in a timely and accurate fashion while managingmultiple priorities and fostering an environment of team buildingandcoordination.


    • Design, develop and executeautomated test scripts.
    • Design test strategies,plans and scripts for large-scale applications and testsuites.
    • Perform automated,performance, & regression testing and keep track of all thenew developments.
    • Use issue tracking softwareto track and report problems.
    • Produceevaluated test reports and take part in softwarewalkthrough

    Requirements

    MinimumQualifications



    • Five(5) years experience in QA Test Automationrole.
    • Three(3) years experience in object-oriented programming language intest automation (i.e. JAVA, C#,etc.).
    • Five(5) years experience in QA Test Performancerole.
    • One(1) engagement lasting more than six (6) months use of IBM RationalFunctionalTester.
    • One(1) engagement lasting more than six (6) months use of IBM RationalPerformanceTester.

    • Capacityto understand the QA processes and work in the softwareenvironment.
    • Abilityto communicate (verbally & written) test plans,expectations, updates, progress, issues, and successes in a timely& clear fashion ifnecessary.
    • Experienceand comprehensive knowledge of performance testing tools,procedures, web technologies including application servers and loadbalancingtechnologies
    • Abilityto analyze and problem solve using the modern testingmethodologies, SDLCetc.
    • Abilityto think beyond expectations of the QA process and think about howto improve the automation framework, or how automation integratestoSDLC.
    • Abilityto organize and prioritize features and test cases. And prioritizehis/her activities so that testing goals areachieved.
    • Experiencein designing and developing an automation framework usingpage-objectmodel.
    • Experiencewith software development for large-scale applications and/orleading both performance and automation testing initiatives forlarge-scaleimplementation.
    • Experiencein using automated testingtools.
    • Experiencein database concepts and defect trackingtools.
    • Knowledgeof open source QA performance and automation testing tools (i.e.
    Selenium, SoapUI, JMeter,etc.).

    • Experiencein multiple programming languages and software developmenttechnologies such as Java, .NET, Python, SQL,etc.
    Minimum Qualifications Five(5) years experience in QA Test Automation role. Three (3) yearsexperience in object-oriented programming language in testautomation (i.e. JAVA, C#, etc.).     Experience and comprehensive knowledge of performance testingtools, procedures, web technologies including application serversand load balancing technologies Ability to analyze and problemsolve using the modern testing methodologies, SDLC etc.

    Ability tothink beyond expectations of the QA process and think about how toimprove the automation framework, or how automation integrates toSDLC.

    Ability to organize and prioritize features and test cases.
    And prioritize his/her activities so that testing goals areachieved. Experience in designing and developing an automationframework using page-object model. Experience with softwaredevelopment for large-scale applications and/or leading bothperformance and automation testing initiatives for large-scaleimplementation. Experience in using automated testing tools.

    Knowledge of open source QA performance and automation testingtools (i.e. Selenium, SoapUI, JMeter, etc.). Experience in multipleprogramming languages and software development technologies such asJava, .NET, Python, SQL, etc.
