Description

• Work closely with Engineering andOperations to ensure that security and privacy is integrated intoall aspects of the Software DevelopmentLifecycle
• Threat Modeling evaluation andanalysis of potential risks associated with different processes,systems, or technologies
• Perform manual sourcecode analysis, reviews and testing in a variety of programminglanguages
• Create and implement automatedprocesses and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness ofsecurity controls
• Regularly check and monitorprocesses and systems to identify any potential vulnerabilities orweaknesses
• Respond to and manage securityincidents, such as data breaches or cyber-attacks, immediately andeffectively
• Create awareness on security bestpractice to various teams through presentations and learning toolson security exploits and associatedrisk
• Testing, selection, and implementation oftechnologies, tools, and working methods: Evaluate and testdifferent security technologies, tools, working methods andimplement those that are deemed appropriate and effective for theorganisation
• Collaborate with the widersecurity team to share ideas, tools and processes and helpreinforce a security culture within Deriv
  

What YouHave

• 8+years of relevant experience, including hands-on security roles,leadership, and mentoring positions
• The abilityto inspect code and actively seek out security issues andvulnerabilities
• Strong understanding ofsoftware development, security, operations principles and bestpractices across various softwarestacks
• Proficiency in one or more programminglanguages (e.g. Perl, )
• Knowledge ofPublic Cloud Security tools, services and components including IaCand Containers.
• Experience with DevOps toolsand best practices (e.g. Git, Jenkins, CircleCI,Ansible)
• Knowledge of security and privacyprinciples including best practices (e.g. authentication,authorization, encryption, GDPR)
• Strongproblem-solving skills
• Excellent spoken andwritten English communicationskills
• Bachelor's ormaster's degree in computer science or a relatedfield
