    Description

    NORMAL DAY-TO-DAYWORK

    • Managethe daily operations of the department and ensure that proceduresand practices align with Credit Union expectations and regulatoryrequirements, including all applicable federal and state laws andregulatory guidance governing financialinstitutions.
    • Develop operations systems bydetermining requirements and create and oversee implementation ofnew and/or revised policies, procedures, and practices to optimizeday-to-day functions, ensure controls are in place and systems areoperating at their optimum.
    • Conduct regularreview of all applications in Operations. Monitor and, as needed,address all item processing, exception processing, non-post, stoppays, and NSF items related to deposit operations, including, butnot limited to: ACH, checks, RDC, bill pay, P2P, wires andRegulation D.
    • Manage daily risks associatedwith operations by ensuring controls, policies and procedures arein place and functioning, including necessary staffing andcross-training; lead the process of continuous improvement ofsame.
    • Gather and analyze financial informationfor in various financial and regulatory reports; develop daily,weekly, and monthly reports for use in assessing and maximiningoperational efficiency.
    • Manage relationshipswith current and future Operationsvendors.
    • Research new technologies andalternative methods of efficiency. Monitor new implementations,upgrades, and releases for current and future operations systems,oversee user testing for implementation and optimization, as wellas develop, and as appropriate, implement communication andtraining strategies for other staff to ensure the latest technologyis available to members.
    • Managecross-departmental functions, including documents, forms, notices,and statements. Provide backup support for each area of thedepartment.
    • Manage the design, implementation,and support of solutions for managing operations and electronicrecords. Ensure systems meets departments' changing needsby exploring system releases and implement neededenhancements.
    • Lead change management andbusiness process improvement initiatives throughout all departmentsfor successful implementation of new products and services and anyrelated systems, associated processes and policies.

    JobQualifications

    Hereare a few qualifications you MUST have to be qualified for thisposition.

    • Minimum 4 - 6 years of financialinstitution experience in operations and/or depositservicing.
    • Minimum 1 - 3 years of managementexperience.
    • Accredited ACH Professional (AAP)certification, or ability to obtain certification within the firstyear of employment.
    • Strong communication skillsto articulate to various audiences, technical and non-technical, aswell as entry level to ExecutiveManagement.
    • Ability to handle multiplepriorities as well as confidentialinformation.
    • Ability to function in a Consumerbusiness office environment and utilize standard office equipmentincluding but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone,etc.
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (fileboxes, computer printer).
    • Travel required onoccasion.

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance,Accounting, Economics, Business, or relatedfield.
    • Knowledge of Ensenta, Co-Op BillPay, andHarland Clark systems.
    • Experience inimplementation of Fiserv back-office systems, to include FiservDNA, Fiserv Item Processing and Payments Exchange (formerlyWirechange).
    • Knowledge of a variety offinancial products and services; experience with multiple productsand/or system implementations.
