    Description

    JOB SUMMARY (Major functions ofthe position)

    Roles &Responsibilities

    1)Must be able to design and analyze Steel Structure elements ofbuildings and other steel structures.

    2) Must beable to develop detailed design calculations for the steelstructures all steel to steel and steel to concrete connections andget approval from contractor client andconsultants.

    3) Must be able to review shopdrawings prepared in Tekla and Autocad and manage the modelling anddetailing team.

    4) Must be able to do connectiondesign of complex steel structures for buildings warehousesindustrial projects using connection software such as idea staticaor RAM/LIMCON or be able to generate own excel spreadsheets forconnection design.

    5) Can do quantity take offfor steel structures from the Tender/IFC drawingsprovided.

    6) Create detailed technical drawingsand specifications for construction projects.

    7)Collaborate with architects contractors and other professionals todevelop structural designs.

    8) Conduct sitevisits and inspections to assess existing structures and identifypotential issues.

    9) Perform calculations andsimulations to determine the strength and stability ofstructures.

    10) Review and approve design changesand modifications based on projectrequirements.

    11) Provide guidance and support tojunior engineers and drafters.

    12) Stay updatedon industry standards codes and regulations related to structuraldesign.

    13) Coordinate with project teams toensure timely completion of designdeliverables.

    14) Communicate and present designconcepts and proposals to clients andstakeholders.

    DesiredQualifications:

    1)Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a relatedfield.

    2) Must be well versed in STADD PRO/ETABSsoftware for Steel structure Design.

    3) Must befamiliar with American and British Steel DesignCodes.

    4) Professional Engineer (P.E.) license ispreferred.

    5) At least 5 years of experience instructural design engineering.

    6) Experienceworking on largescale construction projects is highlydesirable.

    7) Strong knowledge of building codesand regulations.

    8) Proficiency in structuraldesign software such as AutoCAD Revit or SAP

    9)Excellent problemsolving and analyticalskills.

    10) Effective communication andinterpersonal skills.

    11) Ability to workcollaboratively in a team environment.

    12)Attention to detail and strong organizationalskills.

    13) PreferredNationalityIndian.
