    • Bachelor's degree in GIS,Geography, Geomatics Engineering, Surveying Engineer orequivalent
    • 10+ years of relatedexperience
    • Proficiency in BIM andGIS
    • Proficiency in GIS software applicationsand programming is required. Also requires a demonstratedproficiency in both written and oral communication skills and aworking knowledge of industry practices. In addition, the incumbentmust possess the following specific skills andcompetencies:
    • Well-developed skills with one ormore GIS packages including scripting, programming, modeling, anddesigning.
    • Ability to design and maintain GISdatabases and other database formats such as Microsoft Access,dBase, etc.
    • Proficiency in cartography and mapdesign, including coordinating systems, projections, and mapscales.
    • Ability to utilize, convert andincorporate various types of data into GIS. Examples of this datainclude Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), GlobalPositioning Systems (GPS) and databasefiles.
    • Knowledge of programming and scriptinglanguages such as Visual Basic, Python, HTML, AML, EML, ColdFusion, etc.
    • Systems automation skills (e.g.,UNIX scripts, NT batch scripts, Linuxscripts)
    • Systems and peripheral troubleshootingskills
    • Ability to independently assess dataanomalies, software problems, and program design flaws, and takeappropriate steps to make the projectwork.
    • Ability to ascertain hardware/softwarelimitations, how to work within them, and what can be done whenlimits are reached.
    • Ability to communicateresults of assigned tasks in writing.
    • Abilityto document work performed on a project in projectlogs.
    • Ability to document specific informationabout project data in the metadatafile.
    • Proficiency in basic office automationsoftware including MS-Word orMS-Excel.
