    Description

    JobSummary

    The Bellman isresponsible for providing exceptional customer service to hotelguests, especially when it comes to their luggage andtransportation needs. They are responsible for greeting guests uponarrival, assisting them with their luggage, and providinginformation about the hotel's amenities and services. TheBellman must be polite, courteous, and knowledgeable about thelocal area to provide a positive guestexperience.

    KeyResponsibilities

    • Opening the front door for guests,direct them to the check-in desk.
    • Show thechecked in guests to their rooms, make sure that everything in theroom is in order (check the lights, ventilation, andheating).
    • If any equipment is not workingproperly, report this to the maintenance department so that it canbe repaired.
    • Introduce the features of the roomto the guests, explain them how to use the air conditioning system,audiovisual systems and equipment, electronic "do notdisturb sign" system, coffee making unit, minibar andtelephone.
    • Give guests information aboutdirections, the hotel, hotel area and local touristattractions.
    • When guests have checked out offerassistance with luggage (store it or carry to thevehicle).
    • Giving directions to places ofinterest, sightseeings, shopping areas.
    • Ensurethat each piece of luggage stored has a tag (filled in properly asper Hotel standards) on and the owner of the luggage receives theother part of the luggage tag.
    • Delivers allguest messages/faxes/letters/parcels to theguestrooms.
    • Run errands requested by the FrontDesk staff.
    • Loading and unloading luggagefrom/to the vehicles.
    • Coordinate the traffic ofvehicles in front of the hotel (guests' cars, limousines,taxis, minivans, buses).
    • Provide car valetservice drive the guests' cars to and back from theHotel's designated outsourcedgarage.
    • Follow all health & safetypolicies.
    • Implement, maintain and continue toimprove departmental policies, procedures and servicestandards.
    • Carry out any other duties requestedby Front Desk Agents or Front OfficeManager.
    • Responsible for maintaining a cleanand tidy work area at all times (including the lobby and the areaof the hotel entrance).

    Skills andQualifications

    • Atleast one year of experienceworking as a Bellman in a 4* hotel
    • Excellentcommunications skills with Proficiency in speaking and writingenglish.
    • Good communication skills andinterpersonal skills
    • Extremely agile as the jobdemands speed and efficiency in itsexecution
    • Team player with excellent planningand organizing skills
    • Able to work flexibleworking hours with rotating shifts
    • Pleasantpersonality with good problem-solvingskills
