    Job Purpose: dnata is one of theworlds largest air and travel services providers; offering groundhandling cargo travel and catering & retail services atover 130 airports in more than 30 countries across six continents.At dnata we are by your side for the entire travel experience.

    This role will be supporting our dnata Cargopillar and will be providing dedicated financial services to thedepartment through e nsuring that all income and expenses areeffectively managed and controlled through the provision ofaccurate financial information and the analysis and tracking ofcost and expenditure. Enhancing performance monitoring throughproduction of standard business performance reports identifying thekey issues KPIs for exception reporting to the management andprovide subject specific reports that enable more granularunderstanding of the key drivers that impact cost and revenue.Providing financial decision analysis recommendations to thebusiness.

    Job Outline:

    • Provide front line adviceto complete the annual budget submission to Cost Centre holders fortimely completion of budget consolidation at a division leveldemonstrating productivity improvements year on year. Provide backup evidence to BFMs/FMs with detailed analysis in order toappropriately challenge budget assumptions. Ensure that the budgetfocuses on KPIs for each part of the business and is aligned to thelong term plan.
    • Collate information on amonthly basis of cash inflows and cash outflows that isincorporated into the model developed to report business specificcashflow forecasts on a rolling basis and perform analysis toreconcile deviations highlighting reasons for changes. Changes tocash flow model for new developments and periods are incorporatedat the appropriate time when cash commitments are approved andknown.
    • Provide continuous handson guidance tobusiness managers in terms of financial awareness by educating onfinancial systems and procedures that govern best practicesspecific to business domain cost and revenue drivers buildingbusiness cases with financial terminologies such as Net PresentValue( NPV) and Return On Investments(ROI) etc.
    • Produce requisite reports at regular specified intervalsand focus on diagnosis to provide alternative solutions forachieving change. (Reports include DCRs MFRs weekly reportsrevenue/cost reports and subject specific granular level reportsetc..)
    • Generate and analyse periodicreforecasts at the department (cost centre and profit centre) leveland corporate level that will include the impact of any post budgetdevelopment not originally planned e.g. unbudgeted routes aircraftacquisitions delayed recruitment etc. in order to highlight thereasons for deviations.
    • Provide financialinformation to the business managers to initiate work flowprocesses such as RFPs P2P ITSRs MREs. recommending for approval inline with preapproved authority limits. Provide guidance tobusiness managers in new business initiatives to secure financiallyacceptable solutions highlighting issues where new ventures andinitiatives impact existing finance processes procedures andpolicies.
    • Perform financial accountingactivities (applicable in EK Engineering Skywards Service Deliveryand Corporate Communications). Ensure adequate validation ofinvoices accrual generation and reconciliations with appropriateanalysis in order to justify accounting activities to internal andstatutory auditors.
    • Assist the business inestablishing end to end financial accounting procedures consequentto new initiatives or new information and provide data capture fornew analysis needs using appropriate changes to chart of accounts.Provide detailed analysis of new projects to be covered in theproject register enabling effective communication within Financeand in turn ensuring the business gets the best overall financedelivery.
    • Research and maintain updatedrelevant benchmarking statistics on key performance indicators ofthe business competitors and industry providing analysis foropportunities to enhance revenue reduce costs and optimiseresources. Provide support to the business in the evaluation ofhigh value contracts to ensure financial risks are adequatelycovered.
    • Liaise with cross departmentalfunctions to ensure accuracy and transparency in reporting thebusiness performance.
    • Living up to the themeof safety is everyones responsibility and ensure any safety hazardis reported at the right forum and follow up for the fix.
    • In consultation with BFM/FM work towardsdevelopment and coaching of staff and promoting financial awarenessacross the business stakeholders.
    • Qualifications & Experience: Finance &Insurance/Finance Management : 8 Years
    • Degreeor Honours (123 or equivalent) OR A qualified accountant with 3years experience.
    • Experience inFinance/Management Accounting in a large organisation isnecessary.
