    Summary:

    TheGrounds Maintenance Foreman is responsible for performing a varietyof work tasks in order to manage the timely completion of groundsmaintenance service contracts. The grounds maintenance foreman willbe required to supervise a crew of laborers and operate a varietyof tools and equipment to carry out specified job tasks, as wellprovide daily progress reporting on job time and costdata.

    JobDuties:
    • Planand manage the loading/unloading of trucks and trailers in the AMand PM including all daily labor, equipment and materials requiredto complete dailyobjectives
    • Cutgrass, trim edges, clean up refuse, blow trimmings, fertilize andwater turf areas and perform other lawn careduties
    • Moveand install soil, mulch and plant material to assist with theconstruction of landscape gardens and relatedareas
    • Sprayand dust areas to control insects and orweeds
    • Operatepower equipment including, but not limited to, lawn tractors, lawnmowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sodcutters, chain saws, and snowblowers
    • Supervisethe work of crew members to ensure proper safety, quality, andproductivity
    • Inspectall work for quality to eliminate the need for return visits and/orre-work due to quality or customer satisfactionissues
    • Traincrew members on proper and safe jobmethods
    • Conductdaily inspections and maintenance on vehicles, tools, andequipment
    • Assistin other job-related duties including construction projects, shopand yard maintenance, vehicle and equipmentmaintenance
    • Completeand submit all required paperwork on a daily basis, including:daily time and service record forms, equipment daily inspectionforms, attendance tracking, requests for time off,etc.
    • Maintainand enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assignedtrucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yardareas
    • Ensurethat all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficientmanner, and that all crew members are in compliance with governmentand company PPEstandards
    • Complywith all company policies andregulations
    • Workin accordance with all local health and safety laws andregulations
    • Communicatewith customers in a polite and courteousmanner

    WorkConditions:

    Abilityto work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, andmaterials
    Ability to lift aminimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire workshift
    Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
    Requires goodmanual dexterity
    Excellent staminais required
    Work near heavyequipment and other vehicles on a regularbasis
    Work outdoors in variousconditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, andcold
    Flexible working hoursincluding occasional weekendwork

    Requirements

    • HighSchool Diploma, GED orequivalent
    • Minimum3 years experience in the landscape/grounds maintenanceindustry
    • Capableof operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsiblemanner
    • Effectivecommunication skills must be able to carry out verbal instructions,read labels and signs, complete daily reports to office and/orcustomers
    • Timemanagementskills
    • Knowledgeof specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required tocomplete various landscape/constructionpractices
    • Abilityto work both independently with little supervision, and as part ofateam
    • Abilityto walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry outstrenuous physicaltasks
    • Validdriver s license and safe drivingrecord
