    JOBSUMMARY (Major functions of theposition)

    10years of experience as a Structural Engineer in a fabricationenvironment

    Bachelorof Science Engineering degree from an ABETaccreditedprogram

    Proficientin Revit AutoCAD RAM Structural System and Microsoft OfficeSuite

    Experiencein Risa 2D Risa 3D SAP2000


    AdditionalDesiredQualifications:

    S.E.preferred but notrequired

    10years of experience in the structural analysis and design ofstructural projectspreferred

    Experiencein ETABS is preferred but notrequired

    Responsibilitieswill primarily include but are not limited to thefollowing:

    Performing structuralanalysis and engaging in the design of steel and/or transportationstructures for both new construction andrehabilitation

    Preparingtechnical/design reports and calculationspackages

    Preparingconstruction drawings andspecifications

    Attendingdesign meetings and site inspections with our clientssubconsultants and partners on an as neededbasis

    Interactingand collaborating with our inhouse drafters and otherengineer

    Designing various structures and producing contract documents forvarious building types retaining walls foundations and wastewatertreatmentplant

    Communicates withother departments to ensure all documentation required is containedwithin the tendersubmission.

    Prepareswork to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements;settingpriorities.

    Preparesconstruction budget by studying plans; updating specifications;identifying and projecting costs for eachelevation.

    Evaluates offers to purchase bycosting changes additions and siterequirements.

    Obtains bids from vendors andsubcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualifiedsubcontractors; negotiating price.

    Maintains costkeys and price masters by updatinginformation.

    Resolves cost discrepancies bycollecting and analyzing information.

    Preparesdraft tender documents to ensure all systems and components of thetender are included

    Interprets & reviewsystem drawings to identify any difference to tender requirementsand raise queries againstspecification.

    Construes and follow companytendering processes and procedures to ensure all aspects of tendersare met including relevant discipline codes andstandards.

    Reviews the design outputs forcompliance with contractual requirement.

    Gathersopinion of the project team and fabrication team on the engineeringdetails to prepare final controlled documents oftender

    Assess the impact due to design changesand revision works due to clientinstructions.

    Ensures the project output meetingto the requirement of codes andspecifications.

    Would be responsiblefor the filling of various tenders with all theformalities.

    Maintains qualityservice by following organizationstandards.

    Maintains continuity among corporatedivision and local work teams by documenting and communicatingactions irregularities and continuingneeds.

    Maintains professional and technicalknowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewingprofessional publications; establishing personal networks;participating in professionalsocieties.

    Contributes to team effort byaccomplishing related results asneeded.


    Qualification

    Bachelor degree in Civil orStructural Engineering and Masters Degree in StructuralEngineering

    Desired Professional / Exposure orExperience

    • 3 years of designexperience
    • Knowledge in fabrication anderectionactivities
