    JOB SUMMARY (Major functions of theposition)

    • 10 years of experience asa Structural Engineer in a fabrication environment
    • Bachelor of Science Engineering degree from anABETaccredited program
    • Proficient in RevitAutoCAD RAM Structural System and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience in Risa 2D Risa 3D SAP 2000

    Additional Desired Qualifications:

    • S.E. preferred but not required
    • 10 years of experience in the structural analysis anddesign of structural projects preferred
    • Experience in ETABS is preferred but notrequired

    Responsibilities willprimarily include but are not limited to the following:

    • Performing structural analysis and engaging inthe design of steel and/or transportation structures for both newconstruction and rehabilitation
    • Preparingtechnical/design reports and calculations packages
    • Preparing construction drawings andspecifications
    • Attending design meetings andsite inspections with our clients subconsultants and partners on anasneeded basis
    • Interacting and collaboratingwith our inhouse drafters and other engineer
    • Designing various structures and producing contractdocuments for various building types retaining walls foundationsand wastewater treatment plant
    • Communicateswith other departments to ensure all documentation required iscontained within the tender submission.
    • Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering informationand requirements; setting priorities.
    • Preparesconstruction budget by studying plans; updating specifications;identifying and projecting costs for each elevation.
    • Evaluates offers to purchase by costing changes additionsand site requirements.
    • Obtains bids fromvendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifyingqualified subcontractors; negotiating price.
    • Maintains cost keys and price masters by updatinginformation.
    • Resolves cost discrepancies bycollecting and analyzing information.
    • Preparesdraft tender documents to ensure all systems and components of thetender are included
    • Interprets &review system drawings to identify any difference to tenderrequirements and raise queries against specification.
    • Construes and follow company tendering processes andprocedures to ensure all aspects of tenders are met includingrelevant discipline codes and standards.
    • Reviews the design outputs for compliance withcontractual requirement.
    • Gathers opinion ofthe project team and fabrication team on the engineering details toprepare final controlled documents of tender
    • Assess the impact due to design changes and revisionworks due to client instructions.
    • Ensures theproject output meeting to the requirement of codes andspecifications.
    • Would be responsible for thefilling of various tenders with all the formalities.
    • Maintains quality service by following organizationstandards.
    • Maintains continuity amongcorporate division and local work teams by documenting andcommunicating actions irregularities and continuingneeds.
    • Maintains professional and technicalknowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewingprofessional publications; establishing personal networks;participating in professional societies.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing relatedresults as needed.

    Qualification

    Bachelor degree in Civilor Structural Engineering and Masters Degree in StructuralEngineering

    Desired Professional / Exposure orExperience

    • 3 years of designexperience
    • Knowledge in fabrication anderection activities
