    Description

    Job Title: Structural DesignEngineer

    Job location: SharjahUAE

    Job type:Permanent

    Roles &Responsibilities :

    1) Must be able todesign and analyze Steel Structure elements of buildings and othersteel structures.

    2) Must be able to developdetailed design calculations for the steel structures all steel tosteel and steel to

    concrete connections and getapproval from contractor client andconsultants.

    3) Must be able to review shopdrawings prepared in Tekla and Autocad and manage the modellingand

    detailing team.

    4) Must beable to do connection design of complex steel structures forbuildings warehouses industrial

    projects usingconnection software such as idea statica or RAM/LIMCON or be ableto generate own excel

    spreadsheets for connectiondesign.

    5) Can do quantity take off for steelstructures from the Tender/IFC drawingsprovided.

    6) Create detailed technical drawingsand specifications for construction projects.

    7)Collaborate with architects contractors and other professionals todevelop structural designs.

    8) Conduct sitevisits and inspections to assess existing structures and identifypotential issues.

    9) Perform calculations andsimulations to determine the strength and stability ofstructures.

    10) Review and approve design changesand modifications based on projectrequirements.

    11) Provide guidance and support tojunior engineers and drafters.

    12) Stay updatedon industry standards codes and regulations related to structuraldesign.

    13) Coordinate with project teams toensure timely completion of designdeliverables.

    14) Communicate and present designconcepts and proposals to clients andstakeholders.

    DesiredQualifications:

    1) Minimum of a Bachelors degreein Civil Engineering or a related field.

    2) Mustbe well versed in STADD PRO/ETABS software for Steel structureDesign.

    3) Must be familiar with American andBritish Steel Design Codes.

    4) ProfessionalEngineer (P.E.) license is preferred.

    5) At least5 years of experience in structural designengineering.

    6) Experience working on largescaleconstruction projects is highly desirable.

    7)Strong knowledge of building codes andregulations.

    8) Proficiency in structural designsoftware such as AutoCAD Revit or SAP

    9)Excellent problemsolving and analyticalskills.

    10) Effective communication andinterpersonal skills.

    11) Ability to workcollaboratively in a team environment.

    12)Attention to detail and strong organizationalskills.
