    SENIOR ACCOUNTANT COST & MANUFACTURING (Permanent)
    Our client, a stable and growing manufacturing company in the North towns of Buffalo, NY, is looking to hire a Senior This is a newly created position due to growth and reports to the This position has strong growth potential, possibly to

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for performing day-to-day accounting functions
    • Ensure all financial statements are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
    • Prepare Journal Entries and maintain general ledger, performing monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
    • Work closely with internal departments and provide recommendations to create efficiencies and improve processes & procedures, including systems upgrades
    • Monitor cash, create detailed reports, and communicate effectively with Senior Management regarding any discrepancies
    • Identify, extract, analyze, report and correct errors
    • Assist in operational improvement by providing relevant cost information to upper management
    • Assist with preparing work papers and schedule for annual audit
    • Actively participate in improving month-end and quarterly closing/reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
    • COGS (Cost of Goods Sold), WIP (Work in Progress), and inventory analysis and reporting
    • Work directly with CFO to collect information to prepare and present finished financial package to CEOs and Board Members
    • Build and maintain internal and external relationships, regularly walk around the operations floor
    • Other duties as assigned/as necessary

    Details:

    • Position is full time, direct hire
    • Hybrid schedule
    • $95,000 - $105,000 annually depending on experience
    • Bachelor s degree in Accounting or similar required
    • CPA preferred
    • 5+ years accounting experience
    • Either Public Firm experience with manufacturing clients, or manufacturing industry accounting experience required
    • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
    • Excellent accounting and math skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Work well under deadlines
    • Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Strong organization skills and time management skills
    • Self-motivated
    • Relocation not available
    • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available
