    Manufacturing EngineerMeasurement Solutions

    EmersonMeasurement Solution is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to help usimplement efficient manufacturing processes that result inhighquality products. Measurement Solutions is part of Emerson thathas Rosemount product offering which includes a complete line ofpressure temperature flow level and safety measurementinstrumentation. Throughout the process industries Rosemountdevices are specified more often than any other brand of processinstrumentation.

    In This Role YourResponsibilities Will Be:

    • Apply technical expertisecommensurate with formal training and moderate job experience inthe development of products and/or processes.
    • Work involves choosing between alternativeproven technologies with some originality and moderate technicalrisk.
    • Design and/or develop manufacturingprocesses and equipment.
    • Recommend designchanges to reduce costs improve quality and increase productperformance.
    • Solve production problems andlead to discrepant material reviews.
    • Participate in plant layout activities.
    • Interact on a regular basis with otherfunctional groups and customers or vendors on technical and/oradministrative matters.
    • Recommend theresources to be committed to customers and vendors in the bestinterest of Rosemount.
    • Work with ProductionProduction Control Quality and other engineering departments.
    • Assist in the selection of personnel forassigned projects.
    • Assist Marketing byproviding technical cost or schedule information.
    • Train Technician & InstrumentBuilders.
    • Develop and approve scheduleachievements coordinate workforce facility and equipmentrequirements for assigned projects.
    • Administertechnical procedures including process and work procedures.
    • Implement industrial engineering system(standard cost data capacity and equipment requirement forecastingshop floor control system).
    • Initiate andimplement engineering change authorizations. Cost estimating andreporting system. Help identify and prioritize opportunities.
    • Participate and lead Lean and six sigmaimprovement teams.
    • Develop implement andperform work unit(s) preventive maintenance.
    • Develop and maintain methods to ensurecompliance with quality assurance systems.
    • Actively participate in process improvementteams and assist in the introduction of new/revisedprocesses/products to the manufacturing system.
    • Follow and assure safety guidelines are beingmet and report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervision.Participate in addressing and implementing corrective action.
    • Perform electronic transactions within thebusiness operating system.
    • May maintaincustomer order status and communicate status to contractsadministrator/customer service groups.

    • Engineering degree orequivalent experience
    • Knowledgeable ofmanufacturing systems ISO 9001 quality management system Kanban 5Sand DMAIC problem solving process.
