    Nurse Supervisor - Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Global Pharma Tek

    Description

    Demonstrated the ability to performclinical/technical/service/administrative tasks: Assesses thequality and appropriateness of nursing care to ensure that theneeds of the patients are met based on patient acuity, staffavailability and qualification. Participates in the interpretationand implementation of Nusing/Patient Care Services and hospitalpolicies and procedures. Plans and maintains staffing patterns forthe patient care units to meet patient care requirements and staffcompetency. Consults with multidisciplinary team to coordinatedelivery of care. Coordinated unit

    needs andcollaborated with support staff by delegating responsibilities formaintaining a safe and clean environment. Provides direction duringcrisis and emergency situations. Participates and sharesresponsibilities with

    code team and coordinatesbetween Nursing and other members of the multidisciplinary team.Demonstrates that knowledge and skills necessary to provide care,based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and relatedcriteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in assignedarea. Participates in the Customer's performanceimprovement activities. Maintains patient/employee confidentialityin the management of information. Provides a channel forinter-shift communication of pertinent patient care andadministrative problems or situations requiring follow-up orspecific attention. Contributes information to the Director,Patient Care Services in maintaining a system of review and/orevaluation of the staff. Participates in departmental meetings andon Nursing/Patient Care

    Services committees.Participates in the development of other staff members.Participates in the orientation of new personnel in conjunctionwith the Customer of Nursing Education and Research. Identifieseducation needs of Nusing/Patient Care Services personnel andprovides education or makes referrals to meet these needs inmaintaining clinical competency. Provides counseling to staff andparticipates in disciplinary action as necessary. Encouragesprofessional growth and development of the Nursing/Patient CareServices staff. Participates in Continuing Education Programs andSeminars to maintain theoretical and clinical expertise. Meetsregulatory, licensure, and annual health assessment requirements.Identifies learning strengths and needs. Utilizes learningresources.

    Demonstrates a professional,courteous, and respectful attitude in dealing with patients,families, and significant others. Displays courtesy, tact, andpatience during interactions with all members of the hospital staffand extended community. May be required to perform other duties asassigned or perform other duties whennecessary.

    Minimum of 3 years clinicalexperience and 2 years in a leadershipposition
