    Description
    • Being a business partner to theBusiness Units, through providing key analysis to non-financemanagers within the Business Units, contract and bank guaranteereview, commercial decision-making support,etc.
    • Preparing the monthly management reportincluding key data relating to financial performance of theassigned Business Units within the settimelines
    • Promoting an attitude of cost controlwithin the Business Units through effective reporting andchallenging of costs
    • Taking control of theoverall budget process for the Business Units Preparing monthlyforecasted financial statements with support from the respectiveproject teams
    • Reviewing the monthly revenue andcost accruals for the Business Units
    • Preparingbalance sheet reconciliations for the Business Units and providingsubmissions to the Business Unit Managers and Finance Director forapproval
    • Ensuring strict adherence to robustinternal controls and international financial reportingstandards
    • Carrying out variance analysisagainst budget forecast, and providing explanations for significantvariances
    • Supporting external audits and taxsubmissions where required
    • Taking overallcontrol of accounting and finance matters pertaining to theBusiness Units
    • Managing and mentoring 2 BUAccountants
    • Maintaining and contributing to theCompanys philosophy of continuous improvement. Essentially thiswill involve taking ownership & responsibility forprocesses, systems and work in general, continually seeking ways toimprove these
    • Ad-hoc tasks as assigned by theFinance Director

    RequiredCompetencies:

    • High performing hands-on individualwith experience of managing staff
    • In depth andup-to-date knowledge of IFRS
    • Strongcommunication and negotiation skills with the ability to influencedecision making
    • Experience of implementingchange within the Finance department
    • Problemsolving and ability to managecomplexity
    • Possessing solid financial acumenand a nimble learning ability
    • Collaborative andpossessing a strategic mindset
    • Experience in MSOffice and in a standard ERP (preferably MSDynamics)

    Qualifications /certificates:

    • Proven working experience as FinanceController
    • Accounting / Financedegree
    • Appropriate professional qualification(CIMA or CMA preferred)
    • 10+ years of relevantwork experience (Oil & Gas desirable), with minimum 2 yearsas Finance Controller
