    The Business Development Manager Industrial eMarketplace is a dynamic role responsible for driving the growth of our digital procurement platform by focusing on outreach to both suppliers and buyers within the industrial sector. This individual will leverage their deep understanding of industrial buyers suppliers and technology to demonstrate the value of our platform with the goal of onboarding new participants. The successful candidate will be adept at identifying potential clients engaging in strategic discussions and showcasing our platforms capabilities through persuasive demonstrations. This role requires a blend of sales acumen industry knowledge and technological savvy to communicate our platforms benefits and foster longterm partnerships effectively.

    Responsibilities

    • Supplier and Buyer Outreach
      • Proactively identify and engage potential suppliers and buyers within the industrial sector using market research and networking.
      • Develop and execute outreach strategies to maximize the platforms visibility and attractiveness to key market segments.
    • Demonstrations and Onboarding
      • Conduct compelling demonstrations of the platform to showcase its features benefits and value to potential suppliers and buyers.
      • Guide new participants through the onboarding process ensuring a smooth and positive introduction to the platform.
      • Attend tradeshows and industrial exhibitions on behalf of the company to demonstrate the platform.
    • Market Intelligence
      • Gather insights on industry trends buyer needs and supplier capabilities to inform platform development and outreach strategies.
      • Maintain uptodate knowledge of technological advancements in procurement and supply chain management to enhance platform offerings.
    • Strategic Partnerships
      • Identify and develop strategic partnerships with key industrial players trade associations and technology providers to enhance platform reach and capabilities.
      • Collaborate with partners to create comarketing and codevelopment opportunities.
    • Sales Planning
      • Work with leadership to develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with business objectives.
      • Set and achieve sales targets tracking progress and adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure success.
      • Collect feedback from platform users to identify opportunities for improvement and customization.
      • Collaborate with the product development team to refine platform features based on market needs and feedback.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Engineering or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
    • Proven 5 years of experience in sales or business development within the industrial sector with a strong track record of achieving targets.
    • Deep understanding of the procurement process supply chain management and the technological landscape affecting the industrial marketplace.
    • Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to engage and persuade a diverse range of stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable business strategies.
    • Experience with CRM systems digital marketing tools and analytics platforms.
    • Ability to travel as needed to meet with potential suppliers and buyers and attend industry events.
    • Professional level proficiency in English including reading writing and speaking.
