Coordinate activities of theassigned staff performing supervisory responsibilities and ensuringcompliance of the team with the set financialstandards.
Supervise preparation of accurateand timely month / year end closing reports ensuring that allaccruals are correctly booked.
Review controlaccount falling under own responsibility in order to ensure thatindividual and collective accounts are well maintained andreconciled accordingly with subsidiary and generalledgers.
Scrutinize cost reports and ensurethat costs are correctly allocated, variances are investigated anddiscrepancies are corrected.
Implementeffective budgetary control at pre-expenditure stage and monitorexpenditure reports to ensure expenditures are within budget andany over-expenditure are authorized.
Verify andendorse invoices for suppliers in order to ensure that invoices aresettled in compliance with contractingterms.
Verify and endorse payroll details (on /off cycle) ensuring that payments are made against duly authorizedorders of payment and in compliance with approved policies andprocedures of the company and that total payroll expenditure are inline with allocated budget requesting justification in case ofvariances.
Operate the company's bankaccounts ensuring effective cash management and compliance with thecompany's regulations governing credit limits and risks.Reconcile the company's records with bankstatements.
