    Description

    DUTIES& RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Constantly analyse and evaluate thechallenges and constraints of end-to-end supply chain and supportdepartment manager in developing and operationalizing a plan toeliminate or minimize their impact
    • Focus ontransport economics, min/max load balances and inventoryoptimization, by using analytical models andtools
    • Organize, manage, track and balancephysical product movements based on the supply and demandplan
    • Ensure that all obligations arising fromthe contract and charter party are executed flawlessly, incompliance with governmental and industrial regulations as well ascompany's guidelines
    • Optimize dealexecution within deal limits, in terms of both cost minimizationand margin maximization
    • Assess the riskspertaining to the execution and mitigate them in coordination withinvolved parties
    • Daily external interface withcontractual counterparties, terminal operators, vesselowners/brokers and contracted vendors such as cargo surveyors orport agents
    • Daily internal interface withCargo/Freight Traders, Shipping & Maritime, Manufacturing,Product Optimizers, Claims, Contracts, Demurrage, Legal and TradeFinance
    • Manage product qualityparameters/specifications to both ensure compliance withcontractual terms as well as maximizeprofitability
    • Manage cargo operations includingoff-spec issues, cargo readiness, scheduling, load &discharge, STS transfers, blending and volume/date-rangeoptimization
    • Ensure that any necessaryfinancial security is in place prior to transfer of title tocustomers
    • Appoint independent cargo surveyors,expeditors, ship-to-ship service providers and shipsagents
    • Appoint independent inspectors andexpeditors and be able to investigate matters relating to productquality
    • Schedule and manage movement of refinedproducts, and components that involve differentcomplexities
    • Handle complex loadings andblending of products in line with trader's requirements,internal processes and blending facilitiesavailability
    • Ensure that all necessaryoperational information is passed on time and documentaryrequirements are met
    • Deal with contractualproblems ensuring that they are managed professionally andoptimally for the trading business
    • Ensure thatall operational data is updated into trading systems in timely andaccurate manner, facilitating up-to-date and accurate informationflow
    • Support post-deal activities likesettlements, customs clearance, demurrage, claimsetc.
    • Keep adequate records to meet thecompany's legal and fiscal obligations, as well as makingany required regulatory filings (Customs,etc.)
    • Provide guidance for necessary cargoinvoicing work, diversion payments, and clearances ofaccruals
    • Be responsible for daily updating/monthly reconciling of inventory at terminals and adhering to endof month processes
    • Generate Inventory, forecastand schedule reports
    • Manage a solid networkingfoundation amongst key internal and external contacts, includingbut not limited to suppliers, customers, and logistical serviceproviders
    • Provide back-up coverage to otherteam members as outlined by line manager for coverageplanning
    • Support KYC of 3rd party serviceproviders including storage companies, independent inspectors,shipping agents etc.
    • Carry out any otherreasonable and lawful request directed by theManagement
    • Maintain and ensure confidentialityat all times
    • Represent the company in apositive and professional manner
    • Adhere to thecompany's rules, regulations, procedures and policies atall times

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS(KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES,BEHAVIOURS)

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree inBusiness, Commercial, Logistics, Economics or related fieldMaster's degree in related field is anadvantage

    Experience

    • 6+ years in commodities tradingbusiness
    • 3+ years in trading operations withinthe same product portfolio, preferably with experience in the samerole

    Knowledge

    • Comprehensive in Supply Chain(Products, Logistics, Processing)
    • Advanced inLegal & Contracts (Law, Incoterms, Tax,Regulation)
    • Advanced in Finance (Credit, CostControl, Treasury)
