Job Description

AECOM Buildings are currently hiring an Senior Associate - Structures, to join our design studio in the UAE. The Associate will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team, ranging from Architects, Project + Design Managers and MEP Engineers , to deliver landmark projects across the region.

The Senior Associate will lead a structural engineering design team and will plan, schedule, and execute the design work on projects assigned.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for making technical decisions regarding resolution of interfaces / clashes between disciplines

Leads the preparation of the Structural Engineering Design for all stages in accordance with the Initial Project Brief and Design Programme

Manages the preparation of the Structural Engineering Design in order to obtain required building permits

Leads the technical co-ordination of specialist sub-consultants as necessary, including the GDC / other AECOM offices and external sub-consultants

Promotes teamwork within a multi-disciplinary team, maintaining positive morale and instilling a creative culture within the project

Proactively prepares, checks and coordinates project Structural Design models and drawings and ensure they meet Client requirements and Industry Standards and project BIM Execution Plans

Contribute, from the onset of a project, to the design of innovative and progressive design solutions that reconcile client's goals and priorities while fostering opportunities for design excellence

Manage interface between design team ensuring proper design support is provided in a timely manner

Qualifications

Bachelor's of Structural Engineering is required

Minimum 15 years post-graduate experience

Proven related professional experience in a Structural Engineering Practice

Experience of working on large-scale projects
