    About therole

    Careem Grocery is on a missionto reinvent the way people shop for grocery pharmacy and retailproducts. As an exciting new vertical within Careem (a startupwithin a startup) were in the early stages of building our productand have plenty of interesting and fundamental challenges to solvein order to achieve our ambitious growth goals in this burgeoningspace.

    As a Data & Analytics Analystyoull be responsible for bringing data orientation intodecisionmaking across functions and topics within Grocery. This isa unique role with the opportunity to create genuine impact for thelives of everyday people in our region.

    Werelooking for someone with an amazing understanding of the onlinegrocery market. Our ideal candidate is someone that excels atanalyzing data makes datadriven recommendations and thatrelentlessly focuses on customers and desires to understand theircurrent & futureneeds.

    What youll do

    • Ability tobuild a solid understanding of our business and workcrossfunctionally with internal stakeholders to create value withtargeted analyses
    • Be the custodian of the keybusiness metrics and analyses that powers businessdecisions
    • Ability to work in fastpacedenvironments and adapt as necessary
    • Structurethe analyses needed to answer key business questions work withanalysts to perform analyses and deriveinsights
    • Translate data into insights in clearconcise and actionable presentations/reports to guide businessdecision and present to grocery leadershipteam
    • Drive business growth through actionableinsights
    • Optimize & automate dashboardsand reports to serve daytoday data and analyticsrequests
    • Create new data platforms where neededto unlock new types ofinsights

    What youll need

    Successful candidateswill have a passionate commitment to improving the lives of peoplean insane focus on excellence and customer centricity and a strongalignment with our core values and purpose.

    Anenthusiastic and driven professional who is excited aboutunderstanding the business context and nuances translating businessasks to analytics requests lead the analysis and derive businessinsights.

    • 57 years of work experiencein analytics roles in a highgrowth tech startup or similardataheavy product environments
    • Proficient inSQL and Tableau or equivalent visualization tool (with 23 yrprofessional experience)
    • Hands on experiencewith Python
    • Strong presentation skills and anability to communicate complex findings to various audiences in aclear manner both written and verbally
    • Anexcellent communicator with any audience with stellar stakeholdermanagement You can easily explain complex concepts to people of anylevel
    • Grittiness. You never hesitate to roll upyour sleeves and address something handson you persevere whenothers fall away
    • Q commerce/ retail experienceis preferred.
    • Basic statistical knowledge A/Btesting etc.
