    As a Startup AccountManager you will help support the growth of your startup customersservicing their unique needs engaging with Founders CxOs Board ofDirectors and VC influencers and teaming with business developmentmarketing solution architecture and partner teams to help theexecution of coordinated gotomarket strategies.

    Startups which are now primarilyborninthecloud represent a critically important and growing subsetof customers to AWS. Startups have unique needs priorities andgrowth trajectories that distinguish them from traditionalbusinesses and require different engagement strategies and salesmotions from sellers to effectively acquire grow and retain themlongterm on the AWS platform.

    In this role youwill also establish Amazon Web Services as the key cloud technologyprovider across the companies you manage promoting the entire AWSproducts and services portfolio to Startups Customers. You will beat the heart of latest trends like artificial intelligence (AI)machine learning (ML) serverless and IoT helping your customers toleverage stateoftheart technologies on AWS to innovate and becomethe next disrupters like todays AirBnB Slack DoorDash and Lyft.

    AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)is responsible for driving revenue adoption and growth from thelargest and fastest growing small and midmarket accounts toenterpriselevel customers including public sector. The AWS GlobalSupport team interacts with leading companies and believes thatworldclass support is critical to customer success. AWS Supportalso partners with a global list of customers that are buildingmissioncritical applications on top of AWS services

    Key job responsibilities
    • Meet or exceed revenue and goal targets in a definedterritory.
    • Help develop a comprehensiveaccount/territory plan to manage and grow numerous accountsconcurrently.
    • Grow & articulatecompelling value propositions around AWS services.
    • Accelerate customer adoption.
    • Maintain a robust sales pipeline.
    • Work with partners to extend reach & driveadoption.
    A day in the life
    Atypical day involves engaging with developers and the ChiefTechnology Officer (CTO) to discuss strategies for scaling thebusiness. Conversations with founders are a key aspect focusing onassisting them in achieving their business goals. The teamcollaborates internally during daily syncs where ideas are sharedand discussions revolve around driving new opportunities and mutuallearning.
