    Description
    • Prepare sushi dishes according torecipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation,and quality.
    • Handle and prepare raw fish andother seafood ingredients with precision andcare.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization ofthe sushi station, including proper storage of ingredients andsanitation of equipment.
    • Monitor inventorylevels and place orders for fresh ingredients to ensureavailability and freshness.
    • Collaborate withthe kitchen team to coordinate timing and execution of sushi orderswith other menu items.
    • Train and supervisesushi assistants, providing guidance on proper techniques andprocedures.
    • Follow food safety and hygieneregulations, including proper handling of raw fish and sanitationpractices.
    • Stay updated on sushi trends,techniques, and new ingredients to continuously improve menuofferings.
    • Handle customer inquiries andspecial requests related to sushi dishes, providing recommendationsand ensuring customer satisfaction.
    • Assist inmenu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for newsushi rolls and dishes.

    Qualifications

    • Provenexperience as a Sushi Chef, with a minimum of 2-3 years working ina Japanese restaurant environment.
    • Strongknowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including slicing,rolling, and garnishing.
    • Proficiency inhandling and filleting various types of fish andseafood.
    • Understanding of Japanese ingredientsand flavor profiles.
    • Ability to workefficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attentionto detail.
    • Excellent knife skills anddexterity.
    • Food safety certification ispreferred.
    • Ability to communicate effectivelyand work well within a team.
    • Flexibility towork evenings, weekends, and holidays asneeded.
